This gimmick offense is just a modern evolution of what Walsh perfected. It's been modified to take advantage of new rules the encourage more passing to certain areas of thre field. It's a tried and true offense that is very successful when run right. Unlike the run and shoot or thre Chip Kelly offense that wanted to run a play every 10 seconds. Those were real gimmick offenses.

it doesn't make sense to you because you like Shanny... but the fact is, he's only an ABOVE AVERAGE HC.. nothing wrong w/that.. still better than Tomsula, or Nolan and Moran..

But as you see, Shanny may get us to the Super Bowl, but we've lost both because he gets outcoached and can't game plan around his opponents..

You continue to talk nonsense.

Jim Harbaugh got outcoached. He had the better overall roster and he had a team that was dominant in the trenches. The team came in unprepared and nearly got blown out by a lesser squad and needed a crazy blackout to happen to kill the Ravens momentum and STILL managed to make a coaching blunder that prevented him from even seeing a lead in that game, let alone a win.

Shanahan had the teams ready to play. That's why we were ahead most of the first matchup despite the refs minimizing our biggest advantage in that game and why we were ahead most of the second game and had leads late in the 4th qtr as well as OT.

The reason we lost both games was because we had key injuries in those games, didn't get officiating to go our way and players didn't execute plays that were there to be made.

It takes a rare type of person to see what happened in those games and simply twist it around to pretend like we didn't all watch the same thing. Give Shanahan what Harbaugh had in his SB - virtually the whole week 1 roster available to play the whole game and he's winning it.
