its a lose lose situation for him lol...

Kyle has become the new Marty Schottenheimer, except his legacy will be worse.

This is an absurd take.

Schottenheimer coached for 21 seasons and has made a conference game just once. In his 21 seasons as an NFL HC, he has 5 playoff wins.

Shanahan has 8 wins and is in his 9th season as HC.

The new Dan Reeves might be a better comparison.

I see. And who is Kyle's John Elway? And when did Kyle get routed in the SB with him as QB?

Actually, you're right, that probably is a better comparison. Either way, both guys are winless in championships.

IIRC wasn't it something like 6 mins left with a two score lead and then he got conservative, then got beat on the same play that KC had beat him on in that very same preseason that year?

Where do we rank not knowing the OT rules in the Super Bowl on the all time coaching muffs?

I won't even bring up the 28 point lead with one half to go example.

I was just talking about his regular season / playoffs / Super Bowl record.

BTW, not getting routed in the SB isn't a particularly commendable accomplishment.

So you ignored the question about Kyle having his Elway. I wonder why...

And I also have no clue what you're talking about. 6 min left with a two score lead? When did this happen?

And we're still trying to act like he didn't know the OT rules in the SB? This is straight up lying. You know it and yet you keep playing that ridiculous take like it's factual.

And you're not bringing up the 28 point lead because it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the offensive coordinator. I've never seen a HC with a defensive background get away with virtually any criticism in a loss like that(25 point lead btw)

This I agree with.

I'll answer it the same way…..6 mins two scores…30 mins 4 scores….put on a blindfold and throw a dart at the wall with every current active coach, I bet the percentages of the coaches that get the job done is very high.
Man, Kyles face seeing Warner says it all.

You also didn't answer my question about Elway.

Shanahan's coaching career is not finished. He's already accomplished more than either of those coaches in the short amount of time and he didn't have one of the greatest QBs ever to accomplish it. I have 0 doubt had Kyle had a John Elway level QB in 2019 he's winning that one and likely in 2023 as well.

So why don't they go to more Super Bowls and championships if they can get the job done?

He's actually close to Marv Levy. Both will have no SBs to their name despite multiple chances.

Also just about every team the Chiefs played in 2019 had a big lead on them. No one closed the deal.
As a huge Kyle supporter, I swear, he better not go to bed after this season like "I did it! I won another Super Bowl when you adjust for injuries!!! 😇😇😇"
