It is time for a rebuild, that is evident. The team lacks depth, the key players are no longer capable of playing a full season without being injured. They cannot stop opposing offenses with the current defense and the OL is non-existent in its ability to do it's job. Replacing Shanahan, not sure that is the answer is. Deciding what positions and who to draft . . . that is what is needed. It may be time to consider whether Lynch and the front office are capable of evaluating what is needed to move this team forward. In my opinion we need people or someone in a front office that can actually determine what is needed to get back to an elite level.

You haven't realized the 49ers are the only team that can use the injury excuse? But I don't agree with your list. Kyle is a better HC.

KS is far and away the most valuable asset we have.

Woulda coulda shoulda, If he kicked the FG at the end to go 22-27, it would have put the blame solely on the Defense

I just will not understand how people think like this. Our defense gave up scoring opportunities on every possession after Warner went out, I believe. Only had a chance due to a missed FG. 4th and 5 down by 8 with what was left on the clock…. Absolutely go for it.

Next time don't have the penalty.

This. He made the right call and Tonges was open for the 1st. Mac just made the wrong throw. I don't even blame Mac much - guy is toughing it out without his top pass options and with a terrible OL.

Sometimes you just don't have the horses. Our best players are not on the field. Before Game 1 who were our Top 5 players? Bosa, Warner, CMC, Kittle, Purdy. All except CMc have missed (or will miss) multiple games this year - and CMC missed most of last year.

When your top talent isn't on the field you're playing with your feet tied.

It was the right call to go for it. Unfortunately, miscues, poor tackling and losing another key player ( Warner ) was too much to overcome.

We have no run game. we have no oline. We have horrible db play. We have rookies on DL. Qb1. Down. tE 1 down. It's not a huge mystery why we lost today. It's not coaching. It's a lack of talent due to injuries and in some cases like the ol it's because the players we have simply are not good enough. It's a miracle we are 4-2. Let's hope we keep that fighting spirit and our rookies develop nicely to give us a nice platform to keep building. Fantasy talk about the post season is just wishful thinking. Nothing wrong with it but let's keep perspective.

He made that post while complaining about the coach. Just can't make it up, lol.

Coaching is the reason this team has a winning record in the first place. We are at the top of the league in that department.

Every year the same thing. False hope. The most injured team in the league. Ignore the offensive line. You just can't win with this. Time to move on from him. They gave him 9 years and this team is going nowhere fast.
