Imagine coming in here and whining after a win like that… are you allergic to joy or something? Why even watch football?
He gets joy in being right. And since he's been saying fire Kyle and that Kyle's horrible well he's been dead wrong since then. Therefore no joy. He doesn't root for the 49ers he roots to be right.
He lost 2 Superbowls.
Super Bowl losses don't count as negative Super Bowl championships. Fans like you who think they somehow do are truly special.
By your logic the Denver Broncos are a less successful franchise than the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans lmao
Who said anything about franchises ? We're talking coaches. And yes, two SB losses should count against your record. It's why Marv Levy isn't held in the same breath as guys like Bill Walsh…
There's not getting to a Super Bowl, and then there's losing a Super Bowl.
Any fan with basic rational thought and logic would agree that losing a Super Bowl is—at the absolute worst—just as bad as not getting to the Super Bowl.
Your abhorrent logic that losing the Super Bowl is somehow WORSE than not getting there, though? It's pure stupidity. Only Jaguars and Lions and Browns and Texans fans think like that to make themselves feel better about not even sniffing a Super Bowl. "Oh well at least we haven't LOST a Super Bowl! So we're doing great!!" Are you really one of them in disguise?
Quite literally nobody who's a 49ers fan thinks "ugh if only we lost the 2019 and 2023 NFC Championships!"
Fans seem to forget that the best teams in history have all lost a SB if they played in more than one or two. The Pats lost several. So did the Cowboys. The Niners losing their last 3 isdisappointing but they were all close. It's not like they got blown at and looked unprepared. In all thos losses the difference may have been ther QB. JG and Purdy aren't as good as Mahomes in crucial situations. Flacco was better than Kap. All three games were close but in the end the Niner QBs couldn't make the big throws.
They kinda looked unprepared in the SB against the Ravens in the first half. They clawed their way back to their credit.

Kinda? It was embarrassing. If not for the blackout it would've been bad.

So what kind of lineup changes will Kyle make with mustapha back?
Will it be pinion and mustapha? If so, what happens in the big nickel with brown's playing time? Or will it be sigle and mustapha?
how good in coverage was mustapha last year? I imagine he will help in the run game but idk.
just curious what people think will happen to our line up.

They don't have a chess piece like CMC with that type of versatility

After watching some tape, Kyle had these rams linebackers in a blender. Set up a game plan that Mac executed greatly to deflect their vaulted pass rush.

If you watch the last sb it was about coaching, not Mahomes making bigger throws than Brock. We would have scored if Kyle could get somebody wide open like Hardman on the game winner. Chiefs didn't need some big throw because they had better play calling and their coach knew the rules

Tartt dropping an easy Stafford INT in January 2022 is why McVay is better than Kyle. Okay. Lol
Maybe you closet Rams fans should stop living in the past. You love telling us to do that all the time!

Take it from a reformed KYLE Basher, the guy is the best option for the team. Once you move beyond the disappointment of losing SBs and allow yourselves to think clearly and analyze his performance you can't logically come to any conclusion that doesn't have him as a top tier, elite coach. Dismissing passion driven negativity is hard. Hot takes are easy and rewarding but often lack rational reasoning. Believe me, I still get pissed when plays don't work or I disagree with a play or decision But what coach in any sport is always right? What team in any sport always executes? None. It's the nature of sports. KYLE does all he can to put the team in a position to succeed. It's all we can ask of him. He is never going to be perfect, none of us are so try to look at it from that perspective. Just my opinion on the endless debate on a guy the majority of the league would kill to have. And as a parting gesture, holding him responsible for injuries is silly. It's easy enough to do, but come on…this is a violent, dangerous sport. Very large, strong men moving at breakneck speeds and colliding…. No variety of stretching reform is going to prevent injuries.. and Kyle can't control it but hey… if it makes you feel better to blame him.. it's a free country and all are entitled to their opinion.

He was trying to get room.
What would you have said if we gave up a safety there.
I was wondering if that was going to be Kyle's decision. They'd still be up by 1, then be able to free kick it deep into Rams territory with 0 time outs left...but still way too much time on the clock.
You can't play for a safety there. First of all safety doesn't keep the clock moving or force Rams to take a timeout. Now if you're advocating doing it on 4th down instead of punting it's still a massive risk cuz now a FG beats you vs going into OT.
Yes, definitely on 4th down as you ate up what little time you were able to in the first 3 downs. But still, was way too much time on the clock for this to be considered, unlike the 49ers/Ravens Superbowl

I think Kyle went back to what worked really well for the Niners against the Rams and Aaron Donald when Jimmy was the QB. Quick passing game, try to put the ball really fast in the hands of the playmakers and let them win yards after catch.

You would think you'd be avoiding this thread like the plague given your track record in it...imagine coming in here and that's your takeaway.
Cuz i'm sure had Kyle drawn up a pass play and it resulted in a safety or incompletion to stop the clock you wouldn't be in here saying what an idiot Kyle is for not trying to run the clock out.
Can't ban people because they don't agree with your takes. That's not how the rules work around here.
Kyle said specifically he called the sneak to avoid the possibility of a safety given the pressure the Rams had been bringing. A RB play would have had the same impact. A pass play, if incomplete, would have saved a time out for the Rams. Hence, the safe call was what he made. Don't judge the call by the results. Judge it by whether it was the correct call given the situation and circumstances.
when you have watched as much football as us old timers have (since the 70s), you have a a frame of reference for what the best coaches to ever do this job would do. Name a dynasty coach, and you see a guy who would run the ball out of his end zone in that situation.
Anyone who is trying to make some sweeping reference to Shanny's play choice, when countless HOF coaches have done the same or similar in similar situations is truly not worth engaging with.
