Mac at least has the history with Bourne to lean on. Purdy was limited a lot so not sure how much he even got to play with KB. I still can't get over his huge drop on the 3rd down right before the punt return TD.

2 absolutely BRUTAL turns in that game. Ferrell fumble, followed by Etienne TD run then the Bourne drop followed by the return TD. Two massive swings. Totally different game if either swing doesn't happen.

Very frustrating knowing we really should be 4-0 right now.
I missed the game live but I watched the condensed version on NFL+ last night, while I hate the play calling and refusal to mix things up, the game really didn't look that bad. The plays mentioned above and a couple dropped balls killed us. We could have won even after spotting them two INTs.

Not worried about Purdy at all.
The play calling was fine. The execution by the players wasn't. Bourne was really having trouble catching the ball. Bad ball placement by Purdy. Poor blocking on runs and passes. Poor special teams. Defense unable to put pressure on Lawrence. Beaten to the edge on running plays bu Etienne several times.

Other than that they played a good game.

Four turnovers, a 4th down failure, a dropped 3rd down pass that resulted in a punt return for TD, and a BS PI call on an INT, and poor red zone offense.

Kinda mind-boggling we had a chance at the end tbh. We flat-out gave the game away so hard. Hope they learned a lot against an AFC team and this doesn't become a pattern.

Why isn't he using Guerrendo or that rookie who both have speed in the running game for some burst?

I know it's hard to do but some credit has to be given to the Jags. They're leading the league in take aways with 13. The Niners tied the league record for successive games without an INT by their defense. Eleven and counting. It seems like the football world has turned upside down.

I still fully insist that was an INT by Stout and that the refs really hate his guts this year

I agree but that doesn't matter right now. Bad calls or missed calls are part of the game. I imagine that Jaguars fans think the refs called too many holding calls on their O line and not enough on the Nners.
Krueger and Bruce ripping this team and Shany on the morning show. I agree with a lot of it.

He may be getting stale here. His system is getting stale. I don't see any adjustments to it like McVay has made and how Matt LaFleur has made.
We can't actually run the ball this year. Both because CMC is not as good and because the offensive line can't really block.

This teams literally throwing on 3rd and 4th and short because we can't actually run the ball.

Should have kept Mason. Then we'd actually have a power back to compensate for the trash line.

Purdy is hurt and there is not enough game plan adjustment to account for no running game.

Offensively it's a mess.

We're busy trying to run a high powered air raid attack offense with no running game instead of just dinking and dunking like we should because the opposing team can literally play the pass the entire game.

We traded for a power back. Not sure why we aren't seeing more of him in the RZ. I thought half the point was so we had someone who could make tough yards when the defense compresses.

Again, where are Guerrendo and rookie?

If they can't run they are done. Because the offense relies on the setting up the run game first to then pass. But it's not a dominant pass game on this team where you can just chuck it all around the yard and get 400 yards and 4 TD's. We just are not built that way. Purdy is timing and anticipation and accurate throws (when he is accurate). The offensive line isn't built to keep people out for long time periods. Other than Pearsall nobody scares anybody out there right now. Maybe Jennings a little bit but not speed.

Totally agree.

The OL pass blocks OK BUT their run game is terrible.

KS is running CMC into the ground.

KS should give the Red Zone play calling to someone else.

We signed a short yardage and red zone guy and hardly use him. It's weird. Wish Shany would spread it around more.
Well that's 1 less 10am game we have to worry about

Meh the redzone execution has been the issue. Missed.blocks and drops aplenty. The plays have been there, execution hasn't.

When you can't run the ball it makes the redzone far more difficult.
