Hell even lafleur is a better coach.
We are 9 years in and we are trotting out mac Jones and 105 year old Trent Williams. When will this nightmare end.

You just said LeFleur is a better head coach. Let's check this fun little one out. He had a MVP QB and lost twice in the playoffs to let me check my notes…. Oh the head coach you say he's better than with Jimmy G and Brock Purdy. John Harbaugh has more collapses in the second half of a game than any coach but you think him having a Super Bowl a decade ago and just constantly getting bounced out of the playoffs early with a MVP QB and a great defense since then is great coaching. I agree Pete Carroll, Reid and McVay are better coaches.

Shanahan has had this team in contention every year except when his QB got injured aqnd las year when half the team was hurt. He got them to 2 SB games and the team was in position to win both. A couple bounces go their way nad the Niners have 2 more trophies. I hardly call that mediocrity unless you cnsider anythng short of a SB win being mediocre.
Kyle is a good HC. Not every good HC can win every year. How many years did Reid struggle in Philly without wining one. Then he goes to KC and ends up with Mahomes and he starts winning. Don Shula couldn't win a SB with Dan Marino. He's considered one of ther best coaches ever.

You keep promising to never post then breaking that promise.
Anyone that thinks Nick Sirianni is a better coach than Kyle Shanahan needs their head examined. Fangio, Moore and Roseman won that title.

If Jose is having a hard time keeping his promises a timeout until the end of the season so he can come back and have more than week 2 rambles to go on could be provided.

I feel bad for Kyle. He can't catch a break from the injury bug. He deserves better than year after year of heartbreak and frustration. This s**t luck has to end at some point. There is only so much you can do as a coach and it certainly can't overcome losing your qb, te and almost the entire receiver room. Next man up… yes but it's doesn't work when the majority of your offense is gone. Throw in an inept center and a brand new kicker just for s**ts and giggles… compare us to the packer organization and it's no contest. Solid D, solid line, great defensive backs, Great defensive line and a real kicker. Tomusula could win the nfc with that team. Kyle must be tortured. Rebuilding is needed and let's stop the dreaming about this team being a contender. The packers would destroy us even at full strength. It ain't the coach.. it's the talent and the s**tty luck. Maybe the best we hope for is we get signs of life from the rookies. We need something to build on. At this point I ain't worried about getting rid of Kyle. I worry about Kyle wanting to move on. How much can one guy take before throwing in the towel and looking for a fresh start? The team vibe is just off…. Failure to launch type of a feeling is what I get.

He's had damn near 10 years to figure this injury issue out. It's not a coincidence every year this team is banged up outside of one year. This falls on him and the regime. 9 years later you can't say it's just "bad luck". He needs to be held more accountable.

So what happens if Jones goes down? No Vet QB was brought in or called up? Is the other young QB that good (or should I say, not as horrible as should be expected)?
Each game could be a crucial one for us this year. Even if we edge a win by a point or two for a game because of some Vet doing just enough, it would be worth it.

There was a time when I would agree with you but when you think about it.. how do you figure out the injury thing? It's out of his hands. Injuries happen. You can't prevent them or wish them away. We just seem to end up with more than other teams. If it isn't obvious by now it should be.. we are dependent on aging vets to keep us afloat..Trent is just about done.. kittle is getting up there and cmc is a 30 year old running back that is always one play away for the IR again.. coaches need players to be on the field to execute the game plan. Our guys are injured, inexperienced and old. We need a total rebuild. This team shouldn't be talking about superbowl windows… that train left the station and might not be back for sometime.

I'm not a Shanny guy by any means and he frustrates the hell out of me but he's definitely in the top 10.
McVay, Reid and Lefleur and the Harbs are I would rank a head of him but that's it.

This is a total rebuild after you get to the offseason. It's an aging, injured team. With lots of holes on offensive line and special teams. They are asking a lot of defensive front 7 young guys to pick up the slack. The good news is our defensive backs look good. Both CB and S. When healthy that's a strong group and used to be a weakness. WR should get better as some come back and get healthy. Purdy at this point looks like he can't stay healthy. It's been years now and he's always injured. Just on and on. Can't stay on the field. Sometimes little things and sometimes major things. Maybe too small and too much scrambling around to hold up to the rigors of the NFL. I like him and have supported him. But you would be blind at this point to not see it as a problem.

There might be some questions about Kyle with regards to how good he is for championship pedigree, but one thing is for certain, I would absolutely put him #1 at creating more with less over the entire league.
People forget that 2019 season we played quite a few games without Staley, Kittle, etc. and still managed to go 8-0 during that injury stretch. The team wasn't good in 2017, but feisty af with an offense that was more fun to watch than that going back to Harbaugh 2013.
He delivers NFC championship game appearances if the team makes the playoffs, and has done it with QBs that people always question.
So right now with Mac Jones, and some no name WRs and no Kittle, it looks pretty scary, but with Kyle there's hope we can win some games. The irony now is that the defense looks to be very good but now the offense will maybe have to be carried a bit.

Kyle made the beginning of the Packer and Bill games last year more competitive than people assumed.
To me, the 49ers lost two SBs to KC because of referee favoritism. The Eagles beat the Chiefs because they built the OL in a way that allowed them to move the ball on that defense more efficiently than we do against KC.
That's my only real criticism with Kyle, in that I get he can produce gourmet meals with average groceries while others need Whole Foods and Trader Joes, but at a certain point a real OL can do so much to get you over the top. CMC running behind an elite OL would be devastating, and IDGAF how good Spagnuolo is, he wouldn't be able to stop that.
Kyle should really consider what a great OL can do. I understand trying to cut costs because he can scheme outside zone with the Raheem Mosterts and Jeffrey Wilsons of the world, and get WRs open fast enough that Jimmy G and Purdy can get the ball to them fast.
But now that we've seen how non dominant this offense has been in February twice in 4 years, it's time to invest more in an OL that can carry beyond scheme. What made Barkley and the Eagles so tough to stop is that they can run power and outside zone, not just outside zone. I wager CMC is still better than Barkley as an RB under similar circumstances (can definitely play receiver a lot better).
Kyle built his entire reputation around the run game, he needs to go all in on it. Kills me that the Eagles won more with lesser coaching......

Every year it's the same thing.
* Most injured team in the league.
* Fail to address the offensive line.
* Don't deal with an aging, injured team.
* Always terrible on special teams. Usually in multiple areas.
They just keep trying to run it back. One more year, one more year, one more year. Well it's been 9 now and I just don't see it. Something needs to change and probably the head coach too. We need to get younger, address the offensive line and I'm sick of having the worst special teams in the league every single year.
We just can't win like this IMO. This regime tried. But I don't think it's going to work out. Looks like a rebuild after you hit the offseason. Lots of aging, injured, high salary guys they need to unload. Need new, younger, less injured players. Let them grow and develop for a few years and probably with a new head coach. This team can be good around 2028 - 2030. It's just delusional to think this is a Super Bowl team this year. Watch the Packers and then watch us. It's night and day. Then add in the injuries and aging players. Just no chance this is going anywhere this year.
