I think we are better than that. We improved the defensive front 7 a lot in the draft. No way the team can possibly be as injured as last year. Can it? Seems impossible. So that has to be better. They ignored the offensive line as per usual. But other areas improved and got younger which should be more healthy. Purdy is underrated. Still have Kittle, TW, Aiyuk, Jennings, CMC. McKivitz improved and is a little underrated. The weak schedule will help.
It's a conservative and careful ranking based on the debacle of last season. More things should go right for us this year. Probably we are 10 - 12 best. Something like that. I don't see us as top 5. As we lost a lot on age, injuries, FA departures, missed draft picks over the years. We did have a real good draft in some ways IMO. At least if you wanted to fix the defensive front 7 which had declined. Some secondary speed and WR speed too. We just need offensive line next year and we could be looking at top 5 - 7 team in 2026.
