If there's one big criticism I have about Shanny it's that he's too loyal to his players. He needs to stop being so buddy, buddy with them because in the end emotional football decisions will lead to getting his ass fired.

Harbaugh never took over a dumpster team anywhere near what Kyle got here.
The majority of Harbaugh's SB team was already on the roster when he took over or were added that 2011 offseason with Baalke calling the shots.
And 8-8 season and then getting fired before it all fell apart isn't anything special.
And no they don't equally suck in the SB. Harbaugh needed a blackout to kill the Ravens momentum to even make the game close in the end when being heavy favorites and having virtually his whole team healthy.
Harbaugh hasn't accomplished anything in the NFL that Kyle hasn't and losing that SB to the Ravens was embarrassing. Joe Flacco….

Very valid criticism. Why I'm glad Deebo is gone even tho I'm certain he's going to be great for Washington but he was one of Kyle's oneitis type players. When he went out in that game Kyle was a mess with the playcalling.
It will be good to not run the offense through him now. I also hope we're not stupid enough to sell Aiyuk now. Hope he comes back healthy and gets back to his WR1 form…feed him!

The vibe I've been getting all offseason is that Kyle is ready to shift his philosophy of relying on Deebo or relying on CMC to relying on Purdy. He knows there's really no survival for him as a HC anyway if Purdy doesn't become The Guy in every tangible way, so it's time for him to truly orchestrate the offense for Kyle. That doesn't mean he'll stop trying to add talent around the QB when it makes sense, but I think it does mean that some of Kyle's "bell cow" tendencies may be curbed compared to what we saw in previous seasons.
Only time will tell.

So…now you're good finishing the season earlier than the SB?
What happened to the everyone is happy with losing stuff?
Losing in the NFCCG is now better than losing in the SB?
And stop saying Kyle lost 3 SBs. I'm going to treat that like trolling since you know very well he was an OC for the Falcons loss and the HC from that game was just polled as the top HC via Washington. Keep your energy consistent.
You're not blaming Saleh or Wilks for the SB losses. Don't blame Shanahan for the Falcons one.

IMO the bad play calling of the Falcons is the primary reason they lost that Super Bowl. You should be able to win with a 25 point lead. I put that loss more on Shanahan than anybody else on that team. There are talks of it in NFL circles and even YouTube breakdowns of why it was more on the offensive coordinator than anybody. If you care to look for them. Huge numbers of people around the NFL and fans blame Shany for that. It's an opinion and it's mine. Others could disagree if they want to. It doesn't bother me. Pass, pass, pass, kept turning it over quickly. Should have looked more like run, run, run. They could have run out the clock with 25 point lead. You should win probably 99% of those games. But they choked it away.
People do give opinions and it doesn't need to be over analyzed that much. It's an opinion. Everybody has one. No big deal.

Looks like SD and others like myself were right. With Deebo gone, and whispers of a possible Aiyuk trade, this team is headed into rebuild mode. And what better way to do that than to get rid of the guy that prevented a dynasty from happening to begin with.
the transition will begin folks, and Kyle is one bender away from becoming the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns. Good riddance !

I'm pretty sure Kyle DID blame Wilks for the SB loss. As many of you did. So putting the Falcons loss on his plate is fair game. If not, then let's all agree that Kyle's coaching errors was the main reason why lost to KC in 2024. Right ?
