I do think the "overrated choke artist" is a fair opinion of him. It's just a harsh way of saying it.
My issue with KS is that it seems like he's not good at thinking quick on his feet. Overly analytical people might struggle with making quick decisions when they don't have all of the info available to them. That could include knowing when to throw a challenge flag when he doesn't have time to see the replay multiple times, calling the right play when you only have 30 seconds on the play clock and the down and distance and/or the personnel on the field isn't what he's expecting, etc.
Like QBs, Head Coaches and play callers need to be able to think quick on their feet. I get the feeling this isn't one of his strengths. Obviously, without being on the sideline or in the meeting rooms, I don't know for sure, it's just the impression I get.
That's the thing...you'd be hard pressed to find anyone in here posting the "Kyle has no flaws and can do no wrong" but we can easily find the other end of that spectrum you talk of.
And as far as the challenge thing...I feel like you're overreacting to the play vs the Eagles in 2022. You'd be surprised to see the challenge rate and how many HCs win those and quantifying when the right challenge made isn't as simple as seeing how many challenges they had and now many are overturned. Belichick for instance has a 40% overturned ratio.
I also believe there are a lot of smart football people covering and playing in this sport who don't get the impression that you do. It doesn't mean everything that Kyle does is great but it also doesn't mean he's trash who can never win anything either.
And overrated choke artist is simply not accurate no matter how harsh or not. No coach has ever won a SB on his own and the film doesn't show anything Kyle did that you can clearly say "they lost the SB only because of what he called/did"
Andy Reid just got embarrassed in the SB a game so poorly handled had Kyle ever had his team show that type of play in the big game he would've been absolutely destroyed for it.
Andy got himself 3 SBs to fall back on but I can point to many a play in each of our SB losses to him that had 0 to do with Andy Reid's coaching abilities.
There is nuance to evaluating this sport and many fans lack it and get upset when others don't treat things black and white.
