To the new NFL Legend. I'm happy I can brag that he is a Niner. Kyle Shanahan has forever changed the offensive schemes, shifts, and motions in the NFL.
Other teams will be drafting defensive players with Kyle Shanahan's offense in mind!

I don't believe Kyle is the problem with the 49ers not winning a SB, he has been limited by the lack of a good QB, I loved Jimmy G and all, but Brock has taken the offense to a new level, I agree though with everything you said, Kyle is an offensive genius IMO.

i put the blame more on injuries than Jimmy ( don't get me wrong he is way more limited than Brock) but last year and 2021 injuries ruined us

Winning a championship in any sport often depends on team health. Football more so than any of the other sports. It's not about who is the best team. It's who is playing the best at the end of the season and injuries are a big part of that.

I think Lynch and Kyle know about the injury issues with the team through the years chasing the SB. That's why it seems like they have tried their best especially going into this year to have good depth at every position possible. What every team should do once they have mostly filled out their starter positions.

I would add that they have done a good job giving guys with minor injuries a little extra rest and not trying to rush them back.

This team was overdue for a fairly healthy season. Let's hope it continues. The few injuries they've had haven't been at crucial positions.

I can give you countless examples of him and Lynch gambling on previously injured players, but it'll probably totally fly by just as it has before.
You are looking at things with tunnel vision and refusing to even consider context. We have a stacked team due to their gambling. It's what they do. There's always going to be downsides to gambling if you only highlight the losses. But what is your total balance in comparison to everyone else?
The 2 big ones are Lynch and that QB guy:

The record breaking extension to your favorite player Jimmy G was a gamble. It's just that you don't see it as one because you think Jimmy is/was a great QB.
|

Health is zero issue with Kyle Shanahan,...and his methods have proven to be the most successful in the league,....so he'll keep doing it without couch potato input on how to improve. Brute honesty,...I know.

... sadly, neither did Shanny because he stayed with Grappy rather than going for the SECOND BEST QB TO EVER PLAY THE GAME..

This is the pendulum theory…ie, it always swings back. Just look around the league right now at how many starter QBs are out for season. Way more than I ever recall before. Now other teams , formerly untouched, have to worry and fret about who will our QB be tomorrow. Yes we have lost Huf for the yr, but good grief look at injury lists around the league. Incredible loss of first string players.
For 8, maybe 9 long yrs we were at the head of the list in games lost by starters. Well, lots of other teams are now getting to experience the same thing. I am so , so glad to be as healthy as we are, altho no question, season is not yet over. Still, it looks like we are as healthy as we have ever been in last 8-9 yrs this late in season. I posted long ago, and it is a fact that the team that wins the SB is the healthiest, all other talent items being equal.
It is our time…finally.

Agree 💯%, and I'll just add that I think there are some important things the 49ers have done that have lead to better health. (1) Less games on astro-turf - to my count, I think it's only 4 for this entire season, 2020 it was 9+ games on astro-turf (2) getting bigger OLinemen, they seem to be more durable too (3) Brock not throwing hospital balls and he's able to protect his receivers with his accuracy. (4) Because of Purdy and his phenomenal QB skills, defenses can't overload on the run and go 8 men in the box against CMC and that goes a long way to protect CMC's health. It also protects Mitchell and Mason's health. Mitchell has suffered more serious ankle and knee sprains when Jimmy was playing, that put him out multiple weeks. Their current injuries are more week to week vs month to month. (5) Bringing Jerry in to (in my opinion) be a great offseason role model for strength and conditioning. I think going into this season, was the best the entire 49er team was - with regards to offseason strength and conditioning.
