Can he just give CMC more breaks?

gonna run the wheels off the bus.

This. Just get the guy some breaks here & there

Good lord it's maddening watching CMC just get beat to hell knowing Jordan Mason has a high YPR average.

Let Mason take some of the wear and tear so we can keep CMC healthy.

it doesnt work that way.

Players are in on certain packages because CMC is a 3-down back and in almost all the play packages. It has to be up to CMC to take himself out. You see Deebo and Aiyuk do this all the time. CMC has to be a bit better about doing this too but he just wants to be on the field the whole time
It's frustrating seeing the pundits talk about any other HC but Kyle in regards to COY.

he helped build a juggernaut team and took " Mr. irrelevant" and put him in the MVP discussions. They're favorites to win it all and kyle is a MASSIVE part of it.

now im seeing Stefanski COY talks. For f**king real?

I knew they would NEVER give him COY after he didn't win it last year. How they gave it to Brian Daboll is a travesty.

Think back to just a couple years ago when we were all frustrated by this team not being able to finish drives with TDs and settling for FGs. Two things changed that. Brock and his willingness to throw downfield and CMC.

OR in 2019 when we went from 4-12 to the Super Bowl.

It's crazy the pundits can't give Kyle the credit he deserves (COY) or say Brock is a super star in the making.

Chris Simms is at least talking about Kyle as COY, but their friendship helps it fall on deaf ears.

It shouldn't be, but the COTY award tends to go to coaches who take a bad team to a playoff team.... Or they just have a sparkling season where they have 14, 15, 16 win season. To which, I'm surprised that Shanahan didn't win the AP award in 2019. John Harbaugh won it and the Ravens went 14-2. (Shanahan won the Sporting News COTY though).

It's not fair... But the 49ers are so talented that voters will look at the rosters and expect us to be performing at a high level.

It's a little crazy that he hasn't won it yet.

2019 - Went 13-3 after a 4-12 season, despite having Jimmy G as his QB.
2022 - 13-4 despite having to start 3 different QBs.
2023 - Won't win it even if we go 14-3 and have the #1 seed. Possibly manufactured his 2nd MVP QB in less than a decade.

Just win SBs. That's all the respect that's needed. When you look at some of the luminaries that have won COY, the list includes Jason Garrett, Jim Fassel, Dom Capers, Dick Jauron, Jim Haslett, Mike Smith, Ron Rivera, Matt Nagy..etc.

The last time a COY winner won a SB in the same season was Bill Belichick back in 2003. Over the last 40 seasons, only four COY winners have gone on to win a SB in that same year.

exactly, it's kind of a clown award,
it doesn't go to the 'best' coach, it's more or less a 'we thought you would suck, and you didn't' award

The same argument could be made for the MVP award considering how few MVPs have gone on to win the SB in the last 25 years. Prior to Mahomes winning the SB and MVP, the last player to do it was Kurt Warner. That hasn't stopped people clamoring for Brock or CMC to win the MVP.
