The #Texans are hiring Bobby Slowik as their offensive coordinator, per sources.

Slowik and DeMeco Ryans spent the past six seasons together in San Francisco, both starting their NFL coaching careers as defensive quality controls. Now, Ryans brings Slowik along as OC. pic.twitter.com/8r3MfmtlyT

Sounds like folks are letting their a*****es talk s**t behind them. I bet they don't even know at what percentage our offense was blitzed or how it compares to the rest of the league. Some fans will say anything just to downplay any data that shows why Kyle is a brilliant offensive mind and a top 5 HC in this league.
Handful of fans think Jimmy has never failed at that. He was too busy outdueling every qb he's ever played.

Bobby Slowik, the 49ers' pass-game coordinator and key figure among coaches in the QB room, is off to Houston.

I'd expect SF to replace Slowik with an internal promotion — assistant QB coach Klay Kubiak might be a candidate — or an outsider that Kyle Shanahan has worked with https://t.co/vn2EZ9Nk7T

I wonder if Nick Saban or Urban Meyer has kids that Kyle can hire for the vacant quality control position.

Honestly I see a lot of similarities between Andy Reid and Kyle Shanahan. Reid was always a really good coach who had trouble winning championships but always put competitive teams on the field. Both are offensive guru's. What's the difference? Andy Reid started winning once he had a generational talent at QB.
Reid was always winning…he just didn't win it all and even with the best player in football he's only got one SB win so far.

To be Fair, Kyle's been in two superbowls. One as a offensive coordinator with atlanta and the other in the 2019 loss. Andy Reid was a position coach in 1996 when green bay won the super bowl, and it took him another six years as head coach to reach the super bowl and lose. As for conference losses, Reid has 6 to Kyle's 2. Kyle took only three years as HC to reach the Super Bowl. As for Siriani, it remains to be seen if he can sustain another winning season next year - if he wins a super bowl this year.

Fair. But I'm pointing to the mahommes mess. The Bears take a lot of flak for drafting trus**tty, but the niners also missed on mahommes, drafted Thomas, and have somehow escaped criticism.

You think the success he's had may have played a part in his escaping criticism?

Also the fact that no one had Mahomes rated in the top 10. Always conveniently ignored.

You're still on this lol? Acting like Mahomes was a shoe in like Andrew Luck.
