This. 23 carries for CMC on a Thursday night game with a big lead and short rest is ridiculous.
On a game win by 8 and clinch the playoffs? Okay then.

Ya I'd generally like to see more Mason, but absolutely zero problem with cmc's load in a division winning game against our rival on the loudest stadium in the country. As a matter of fact I was shocked he wasn't in the last three carries.

CMC's usage is... a concern, but it is what it is--he's the master chesspiece for us with Deebo out. And I think he didn't necessarily took the type of pounding that, say, Frank Gore used to take when we'd run him 25 runs up the gut in his first couple seasons.
Jordan Mason is a rookie RB and we probably can't attack as well, schematically, with him as when CMC is on the field.

I can't tell what's going on, maybe he's been messing up in practice or something.
but man if Mitchell is back for playoffs? Oh boy.

It might not even be that Mason is doing anything inherently wrong... just that... CMC opens up the offense in ways that no other RB's (in the entire league) can.
Depending on the personnel we trot out and game situation, the defense might consider trotting out another defensive back. With Mason, you just get a linebacker in there to match him.
