Bowman has been far from "embarrassing" just not nearly the same.
Hes been ok. Just an average to slightly above average LB, which is fine if he wasn't making elite LB money. If you read the writing on the wall, and believe Bowman's comments in that interview, the 49ers will not bring him back next year for nearly 10 mil., and if thats it in SF, he will retire.
Unless maybe they re-work the contract, although with Bowman's pride, I doubt he does that. This very easily could be the last we see of Bowman. In 2013 we had Bowman and Willis playing like All-Pro's, and just 4 years later they could both be retired. Insane.
