who was the guy that we offered it to and he stayed with the texans?? grabel?? i am stumbling around but i was excited about that even though he had no experience. oh well. does not matter but so far. i really would be fine in seeing a new dc next year and not mangini. speaking of people who always come back to us

Fair answer. Mcvay could turn out to be the better coach, but its very hard to compare coaches being on different teams. Goff or Hoyer? Rams defense or 49ers defense? I also think Shanahan has taken this year to evaluate players more than just winning games. Kerley and Brooks were both better players, at their positions, than what Shanahan kept on the 53. But Brooks was gone after this year anyway and would Kerley be better than Taylor 1 or 2 years down the road? Can't evaluate Bolden as a returner/receiver if he doesn't make the 53.

Obviously goff is the superior talent but ks chose to go with hoyer over rookies like watson, trubisky, mahomes. I like taylor he's a good player who gets open. Bolden jr is just a guy plus kick returners are pretty much an obsolete position in today's nfl.

Bowman has been far from "embarrassing" just not nearly the same.

well i think he is a shell and is very very close to becoming embarrassing , and his mouth is not helping either in my opinion. so far . no locker room issues but bowman and hyde may be getting close to starting something

Winning cures everything. The sooner we do that, the better. Unfortunately barring our miracle our next good chance at a win is a good 3-4 weeks away.

Hes been ok. Just an average to slightly above average LB, which is fine if he wasn't making elite LB money. If you read the writing on the wall, and believe Bowman's comments in that interview, the 49ers will not bring him back next year for nearly 10 mil., and if thats it in SF, he will retire.

Unless maybe they re-work the contract, although with Bowman's pride, I doubt he does that. This very easily could be the last we see of Bowman. In 2013 we had Bowman and Willis playing like All-Pro's, and just 4 years later they could both be retired. Insane.

KS is a Rookie HC experiment right now. Not doubting he won't one day be a good NFL HC but it might not be with us.

We definitely did - JH was a nightmare to deal with but a good coach. He chose Baalke.....lol

Jury is out on Kyle obviously, but Jed was lucky someone with his offensive scheming reputation desired to be here.

JH didn't choose Baalke...Jed did. Baalke was involved in this organization going back to 2005.
