Other than Kyle featuring CMC 27 times, the rest of the offensive passing game was identical. There were different personnel though d/t injuries. Ray-Ray for Jennings. CMC using some of Deebo's calls. Dwelley for Juice. But the structure of the passing game was the same, IMHO.

And the 10 point lead is usually indicative of the defense. It took Ryans until half time to communicate to the entire defense, the need to defend the screen vs. just rushing. That was the real scheme change.

I saw one TE screen get blown up by Ebukam holding Higbee as Higbee went to chip block then release to receive the screen pass. The pass went over Higbee's head because he couldn't get to the spot. Not sure how the other screen plays got defended. That one stood out to me.

Good point. I know Bosa talked about it changing their focus. And he was annoyed because it meant fewer pass rush opportunities but I am curious how they actually schemed it up to defend them.

If you see something let us know because defending screens has been a bit of an Achilles heel for us.

Minus the 7-ish minute period where we scored 3 TDs, this game was pretty similar to the NFC championship game. The defensive stats are about the same.

lol, yea, CMC only accomplished something that hasn't been seen since 2005 and only 3 times since 1970, but sure nobody stood out.

It's usually us that blows the big gainers with drops. Nice to see it come full circle, lol.

It's usually us that blows the big gainers with drops. Nice to see it come full circle, lol.
Higbee got hurt with a huge hit early in the game that affected him raising his arm.. glad it was a bad low pass to him on that drop
