49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

We don't lead the league is False Starts nor Offside penalties. All the penalties are decided by the refs which doesn't fall on coaching

I like Shanahan, he was one of the two coaches I would have been happy with the 49ers hiring, McVay being the other.
My point about the QB situation is with the folks who are writing off the offensive problems on Shanahan being stuck with Hoyer and CJ when they were his choices and he chose to kick the FQBotF can down the road.

The offense is better and that is encouraging.

Offsides and false starts are decided by the refs as well.

no s**t. but if you went into this season NOT expecting to win then it'd be a lot easier to be encouraged despite the fact we are losing. this is the 1st year of the rebuild. you clearly came into this season expecting way too much.

Expecting to have one win by now is too much? How low we've sunk as a fanbase, pretty depressing.

after watching every game so far this season, during the game, I expected to win at least 3 maybe 4 halfway through. it wasnt like that last season or before.

what was depressing was having a coach that was nothing more than a "yes" man, an organization that wasn't fully committed and dedicated in replacing Harbaugh, getting blown out in epic proportions in games with a head coach who utilized a college gimmick offense that had no future...that was pretty depressing. not being able to see any light at the end of the tunnel. that was depressing as f**k. you care about having 1 or 2 wins so much and cant see the potential the team has compared to a year ago. it's blinding you.

The Rams had a much better roster, that makes a huge difference in how the team performs.

Rememer a few years ago it was super bowl or bust! These guys' attitude changes every few months. During summer it was 5 or more wins easily! Now its gee golly its early we need time!

gee golly gee new regime! 30+ new players! 11-5 and superbowl bound baby!! wait, this is a rebuild? but wins should be happening now despite logic and basic football IQ!

Thats what i was saying in the summer and got flamed for it. Probably by you. But now that its happening oh gee golly we knew it all along.

Offsides and false starts are decided by the refs as well.

The underlying point though is that those types of penalties, like 12 men in the huddle etc., are far less subjective than say, an OPI call on TT.

Whether they fall on coaching though is another subject to be debated. I think there is a fair argument one could make that the PI calls on RR are as much on Saleh as they are on RR.

I don't think anyone realistically thought we'd have a winning record this year but to act like it's such a huge improvement going from dead last to mid 20's is silly to me. I'd rather them win some games.

Its cool just wait on it. Until the next regime. Then oh yah new regime time we knew it all along. Rinse and repeat.

going from 32nd to 19th is a lot better. and that has been WITHOUT Foster.
