Talented roster and having a decade plus HC controlling 33% of the game will do that for you.

Yeah that and coaching...

I think John Lynch should be the hc and bump this dude down to oc. This team needs discipline.
I'd take McVay every single time and twice on Sundays.... KS is overmatched and completely out of his element.... certainly, he can improve, but he's not a guy that's very self aware, so I wouldn't hold my breathe.... "just build a dynasty and he'll be ok" is an acceptable theory, I guess.... but it's the players that will make him look better than he is.... not the other way around.

Those last five were for me for not blocking you months ago.

They only have 30 new players. That's a lot of turnover, but hardly an expansion team. I know that McVay would be doing better, because he is a better coach.

Again you are basing this on b******t....what part of 4 losses by 11 points, 2 being in OT and 3 being on the road are you missing. Coaches out classed with a talent-devoid roster does not do this. Not now, not ever. Whatever, this whole discussion is a f**king joke.....again, making grand proclaimations of a guy based on 5 f**king games. It shows how novice your following of football is.
This is about the 3rd year straight were I heard we had an expansion team's worth of talent. I can't disagree with that but here's an idea bring in some talent then. Enough with the it's year 1 you can't spend in year 1.

Chip crappy Kelly won 2 games last season.

I would really begin to worry if Shanahan can't win more than 2 games this season.

He and Lynch had full free reins and all the cap room in the world to do absolutely what they wanted with personnel. They got rid of just about everyone and pulled in their own choice of players. And if they still can't win more than what Chip Kelly did then they have a problem.

They did bring in talent this year. All new WR group, new FB, new interior OGs, new TE, new PR/KRs, new LBs, new DL, new DE.

They turned over 35 players of the roster.

Problem is you can't get 35 blue chip super stars in one offseaaon, either. That talent cupboard was BARE.

He has a better QB, better WRs overall, better RB and his OL is better...I'd hope he'd have a better offense then we have just based on personnel.
He is the coach I wanted and still want. I just wish he was more of a disciplinarian with the penalties we keep committing.

Their choice of players? Like they can just have whomever they wanted in FA lol...go look at most of the people they brought in and their contracts outside of garçon and smith they're all one yr deals.

This team wasn't made over in 6 months

Ok. I admit it is a subjective assessment. The only objective measure of a coach we can really go by is their record. McVay is 3-2 and Shanahan is 0-5. Maybe that measurement will favor Shanahan in a few years (if he lasts that long), but right now it is heavily slanted towards McVay.
