Because 2015-16 suggested Hoyer was far better than Gabbert.

Hoyer has not been played as well as expected, obviously. Hopefully he improves enough over the next few weeks to be the decent stop-gap we were expecting rather than Gabbert-esque.

Just posted that too in the Lynch thread. He really likes BeatHard and compares him to Matt Hasselbeck. He absolutely loves this upcoming QB class with 3 in the top 10 and 5 in the 1st round...at least.

Yup great interview!

Come on guys, Hoyer has been garbage but it isn't all on him. I'm happy that we've been competitive in games, something we haven't seen in a couple years. Our team just doesn't know hhow to close these games out. Once we add a couple more pieces and continuity in these schemes...i think we will be damn good. We are on an upward trajectory overall, it just hasn't translated to wins yet.

I would like to see beathRd play but it doesn't seem like it'll happen soon.

If we keep losing, I feel like we will draft Rosen.

He is playing like Blaine Gabbert. Seems like he hears footsteps and stumbles into sacks. Missing wide open receivers. Sailing passes into the sideline. PFF has ranked him 31/32 worst QB in the league. The 32nd ranked QB is Mike Glennon, who just got benched for Trubisky. So effectively, we have the worst starting QB in the league right now at least going by statistics.

Honestly, at this point, you could bring in Kaepernick and have him run with his legs out of the Wildcat formation. We might get some more production.

What's up with our crappy 3rd down percentage for the year? Almost seems as though Kyle banks on that 2nd down to first down conversion.

Its not all on him BUT if he was playing solid, or even decent, the team would have some wins. The penalties are certainly not his fault but alot of those incompletions are passes that are over the receivers head, too far in front, too far behind, short, or threw it before the receiver even turned for the ball. Despite those issues the last 3 games were winnable if there was solid play at QB. The defense is only going to get better, the offense will only get as good as the QB.

sus' routine was funny at first, but it gets stale after a while.
