So what....a minimum of 10 super bowl victories

It's beyond f**king hilarious that guys are going this full retard for a first year HC after 4 games......hilarious.

Nah, I don't want him gone. It's too late, the mistake has already been made and now we just gotta ride it out and hope for the best. Hopefully he improves and becomes a good coach and leads the 49ers back into contention.

You can't blame us for thinking about what if we had hired Sean McVay though. I lament the lost opportunity to hire the league's next great coach, but I accept that the door has closed on that. McVay is going to be the coach of the Rams for the next 30+ years. I just hope this isn't another Alex Smith/Aaron Rodgers situation.

Jokes on him.....considering the concussion issues, I'm willing to bet the nfl only has 20-25 years left as a viable sport.

I've mentioned before, there are a few people on here that are short sighted and pessimistic.. Just ignore them and let em be. Let them live in their negative world and only reply to people who are rational

Ditto

Agreed.

Prolly unlikely we ever see another niner championship.

Coaching is actually responsible for the play on the field...hate to break it to you.

They aren't just there for the play calling...It's their job to make sure these guys are prepared and ready to execute. This is also why penalties are on the coaching staff...instilling discipline and accountability is part of their job too.

Get the fuk out of here with that. Is Shanahan supposed to make the reads for Hoyer? Is he supposed to throw the ball for him?

Coaches job is to make sure the players are prepared and put into positions to succeed. The plays were there to be made, coaches can't execute for the players on the field.

You think they're coaching Robinson to commit PIs or Hoyer to hold the ball for over 5 seconds without trying to throw it away or make some kind of gain with his legs?

You think they're teaching guys to drop passes?

Don't be ridiculous. KC is 3-0, probably going to be 4-0 after tonight and they're going into tonight's game with 33 penalties called on them. You think they're poorly coached too?

I posted this in another thread. You'd think if penalites were the end-all-be-all the following wouldn't be the case:

Teams with the most penalties
2009 - GB (11-5)
2010 - Oak (8-8)
2011 - Oak (8-8)
2012 - Rams (7-8-1)
2013 - Sea (13-3)
2014 - Sea (12-4)
2015 - Buf (8-8)
2016 - Oak (12-4)

So list includes a champion, a runner up and one losing season.

I give you the 2014 New England Patriots. The fifth most penalties in the league and third most penalty yardage. The coach of that team must be awful at accountability.

Great research guys. The issue for us isn't just the volume but when we get these penalties coupled with youth.

Because of the youth of this team, we just don't have the ability to overcome critical untimely penalties like playoff teams do.

To me, we absolutely kill ourselves at the worst possible time and THAT is the surest sign of a young inexperienced team playing while learning.

What's crazy is the amount of veterans adding to this winning adverse trend.

I guess you're right...once the game starts it's all on the players and not the coaches...they just call the plays. 0-4...that's all on the players. This team scoring 0 TD's in 77% percent of the quarters this season...that's on the players too because Kyle is perfect, oh and his play calling has never been the issue...just go ask Atlanta. Leading the league in penalties...clearly on the players. It's clear he's done his job and instilled the discipline and accountability this team needed...his game plans have clearly been on point to not only put up points but stop the opposition...he's made all the right calls in the draft and F/A just look at the guys he hand picked to run his offense.

Lol what am I asking Atlanta? Shanahan got Matt Ryan to be league MVP and had him playing his best football of his career. He put the ball in his hands on the big stage and RYAN rewarded his faith by eating a huge sack...just like Kyle drew it up.

Funny how with Shany gone Ryan is on pace for 20 TD and 20 INT season after going 38 TD and 7 INT with crappy Shanahan right?

But you gotta admit though, Shanny was pretty stupid for not bringing Ryan and Julio here with and instead hand picking Hoyer......let's at least concede that

Good point. If he can't bring in Julio this off-season we should just fire him. We have the cap space. Good coaches don't let contracts get in the way.

If this next off season doesn't end with us stealing at least 3 of the following, I'm f**king done:

Julio Jones
Aaron Rogers
JJ Watt
Von Miller
Earl Thomas

Just need to steal 3, that's all.
