Get the fuk out of here with that. Is Shanahan supposed to make the reads for Hoyer? Is he supposed to throw the ball for him?

Coaches job is to make sure the players are prepared and put into positions to succeed. The plays were there to be made, coaches can't execute for the players on the field.

You think they're coaching Robinson to commit PIs or Hoyer to hold the ball for over 5 seconds without trying to throw it away or make some kind of gain with his legs?

You think they're teaching guys to drop passes?

Don't be ridiculous. KC is 3-0, probably going to be 4-0 after tonight and they're going into tonight's game with 33 penalties called on them. You think they're poorly coached too?

I guess you're right...once the game starts it's all on the players and not the coaches...they just call the plays. 0-4...that's all on the players. This team scoring 0 TD's in 77%+ percent of the quarters this season...that's on the players too because Kyle is perfect, oh and his play calling has never been the issue...just go ask Atlanta. Leading the league in penalties...clearly on the players. It's clear he's done his job and instilled the discipline and accountability this team needed...his game plans have clearly been on point to not only put up points but stop the opposition...he's made all the right calls in the draft and F/A just look at the guys he hand picked to run his offense.

you love field goals. you love the fact we can not score touchdowns. you love the fact we are woefully in adequate across the board offensively. you love the fact the brain trust has managed to put together the worst qb . o line wide outs and tight ends in the nfl, you love the fact we average 13 penalties a game. wow spare me the big picture talk. this is reality. this is the team we will have for the rest of the year. enjoy the 0-16 progress cuz i am sure next year will be so much better, lol. kyle is no longer an offensive coordinator,. he is a head coach. what he has done in the past means zip

b******t. You clearly want him gone, as does Follower and cc. You guys would rather be proved right than allow the team any realistic (2-3 years) time to improve with Lynch and Shanahan.
you are full of b******t.. no one said fire him,. show me where i said it... i say he is in over his head. he has no clue how to use players like our fullback,. he is responsible as head coach for the teams massive numbers of penalties so far this year.

you seriously need to stop thinking short-term and start thinking long-term for this team. because unlike the past 2 seasons, we've completely cleaned house and Jed York went all-in on starting fresh. that was evident via our new GM/coach duo higher, and that was evident during how hard we attacked FA to get a jump start. I believe John Lynch even said himself to "be patient with us", to paraphrase.

regardless, you keep going back to our record '0-4' as if it matters this season. news flash; it DOESN'T. even though we are losing, this is an important season to take the next step. were you one of those fans that expected to be a contender this season or something? they have 6-year contracts for a reason. this is the official first year of the rebuild. not the wasted years prior where our organization wasn't committed. get a clue, dude. we're doing good things and there are plenty of silver-linings that should make you feel good about how far we've come compared to last year, and the year before.

No buddy.....I know real f**king football and can recognize the scheme despite the lack of talent. Xs and Os don't lie and if you don't understand what a coach is trying to do that's your f**king problem not mine.

You are the exact opposite of "Realistic"....you are judging s**t a quarter of the way through and making grand statements. That's a very novice way to digest football. There is a bigger picture and if you can't see it, then so be it.

I've mentioned before, there are a few people on here that are short sighted and pessimistic.. Just ignore them and let em be. Let them live in their negative world and only reply to people who are rational

I expected improved offensive scheming, improved run defense, improved WR play, improved special teams, and a team that fought to the final whistle. Check, check, check, check, and check.

I also expected a lot of mental errors / penalties because of the new system / young players / not talented enough players, lots of inconsistencies with execution, and 11-14 losses.
how do you explain vets like kilgore making all sorts of errors,, our wide outs drop balls and thats about it from what i can see. as the losses mount up and the few vets on the team roll their eyes at the coach.. i know that is unlawful to say that,. we will see how long they fight to the end... speaking of which.. if kyle and his coaches are so good,.. explain why he made the boneheaded decision to take the penalty and why he let the idiot dc go soft at the end of the game. if the coaches were trying to lose the game. they could not have done a better job
niner weekly presser on nbsba @ 4:30 what will KS say?

How about this.....they were already in FG range pre penalty. In an attempt to not surrender the tying FG you push them back 10. At this point it gives you another opportunity to knock them even further out of FG with either a negative play, sack or even another holding penalty. That's why. Time was deminishing and the only way to straight up win the game for us was to prevent a FG. This play is not as bonehead as you think. Regardless of Accepting or declining the penalty, Arizona was gonna get a crack at throwing in the end zone.

Good post. Some fans (some) just don't want to look at the longer-term, big picture. They want instant gratification now that we have a new HC & new GM. This is a process which takes time...I personally like the direction the team is going with Shanahan & Lynch along with the fact that this team competes every game (same can't be said the last couple of years). They do have to clean up stuff such as the stupid penalties, dropped passes, missed blocking responsibilities, poor QB play, turnovers, etc., as they don't currently have enough talent to overcome those types of mistakes. Their margin for error is incredibly thin. If they clean up some things (which I'm confident they will), get better QB play, and get some key guys back such as Reid and Foster, they'll be in much better position to pull out wins in close games like yesterday.

Exactly. and you know people like Foster aren't going to drop INT's like we've seen.

Nah, I don't want him gone. It's too late, the mistake has already been made and now we just gotta ride it out and hope for the best. Hopefully he improves and becomes a good coach and leads the 49ers back into contention.

You can't blame us for thinking about what if we had hired Sean McVay though. I lament the lost opportunity to hire the league's next great coach, but I accept that the door has closed on that. McVay is going to be the coach of the Rams for the next 30+ years. I just hope this isn't another Alex Smith/Aaron Rodgers situation.
