McVay is a beast, and attempting to discredit his work by saying that the Rams are/were loaded is a complete disservice.... I would take McVay everyday, and twice on Sundays.

Rams had a lot of talent on d but their d sucks right now anyways. It's not why they're 3-1. They were 32nd on o last year and McVay has them at 1st now. He did that by upgrading the talent and developing Goff. Gurley has become a good receiving back for them too. I wonder if he could do that by settling with a bridge qb like Hoyer and transition weapons like Goodwin, Robinson?

I think if McVay is the head coach right now we're 3-1, even with the same exact roster. He would put Hoyer in a position to succeed (that position probably being on the bench).
Oh so he'll make Hoyer not throw stupid picks and hold on to the ball forever? Some of y'all need to get real and look at the f**king rams roster to ours before y'all start sucking on mcvay's d**k. If Kyle had another qb who can actually play we'll be 3-1

Kyle chose Hoyer. There's no reason to think that McVay would have made the same roster decisions. McVay turned a bust in Goff into an above average QB. He probably would have advocated for us to draft Watson and we'd be on top of the division now.
The "fans" calling for Shanahan to be fired already....

Do that, and we'll be 0-16 to 4-12 for decades. DECADES.
Nobody is calling for him to be fired yet.

The Rams were loaded with talent, much better talent than the Niners. To say he would do a better job than Shanahan is just plain out asinine. Some of y'all got a little too much Rams envy.

Brian Hoyer-

Eww, so maybe Hoyer isn't the problem, maybe it is the coaching.

b******t. You clearly want him gone, as does Follower and cc. You guys would rather be proved right than allow the team any realistic (2-3 years) time to improve with Lynch and Shanahan.

He's he thing....Goff didn't play enough to even derserve a bust label. Also, you have clue who he would have "advocated" for.

Do you think he has done a great job so far?

There's a lot of sarcastic shots being thrown around but if anybody seriously believes he should be fired then I hope their ready for this team to hire a position coach for head coach next year because no established coach will touch that kind of dysfunction in an organization. Five coaches in five years...yeah let me know how that turns out.

People that posted patience all summer and wanting to see progress just need to take a step back and practice what they preached. The team has lost the last three games by a combined 8 points. There is plenty of progress to be happy about right now. Kyle Shanahan can't paint the Sistine Chapel with wet mud and a stick. The team started building it's roster from the ground up again this off-season. They deserve a couple more seasons to find their quarterback and some more complimentary pieces before any talking of personnel dismissals ensue.

Yes. Because I expected 2-5 wins and a lot of mistakes from players that don't have the needed talent. In other words, my outlook was *realistic*.

I expected improved offensive scheming, improved run defense, improved WR play, improved special teams, and a team that fought to the final whistle. Check, check, check, check, and check.

I also expected a lot of mental errors / penalties because of the new system / young players / not talented enough players, lots of inconsistencies with execution, and 11-14 losses.
