You still have to make the throws and play with poise, which Mac did well last year. The guy was a 1st round pick for a reason. He will definitely get a Darnold/Willis type contract this offseason.

Yes, both those guys are better than Mac Jones because at least they are mobile and in their best seasons all had a better passer rating than Jones. Jones is a statue with a weak arm. He's a good backup, nothing more. He's Andy Dalton V2.0

Daniel Jones had his best season last year with Alec Pierce as a #1 and had a 100.2 passer rating.

Willis - 88.5 career passer rating
Mac Jones - 86.9 career passer rating
Daniel Jones - 85 career passer rating
Andy Dalton - 87.4 career passer rating

And there is no chance he gets that kind of contract. None

If the league was interested in him he would be gone by now for a 2nd round pick. That says all you need to know.

because Brissett already has a relationship Ravens QB coach Israel Woolfork.

Woolfork served as the Cardinals' quarterbacks coach from 2023 through 2025 and worked directly with Brissett during the 2025 season. During that year together, Brissett threw for 3,366 yards and 23 touchdowns. Woolfork was hired by Baltimore this offseason, giving Brissett an immediate tie-in to help him learn the playbook and system.

Jacoby Brissett is a benched QB3 on the last year of his deal. This is a one-year rental, while Lamar Jackson is injured. I imagine he's not going to cost much for the Ravens to trade for.

Mac Jones, after going 5-3 last year, was attractive to teams because he looked like he could execute an offense if he had a good surrounding cast. The thinking is that a strong team that just needed a QB could do well with him... in the same way that Sam Darnold was a reclamation project with us, and flourished with the Vikings and the Seahawks.

If a team traded for him in the offseason, they would've given Mac Jones a year to see if a decent QB can get them into the playoffs + audition for the long-term starting job.

No, it's because Brissett is a 85 career passing QB like Mac Jones and will get traded for significant less compensation than we are asking.

If the league was high on Mac Jones to the point of him getting a Malik like contract he'd be gone for a 2nd or even a 3rd by now.
