Jets might be trading Breece Hall. I like Black but man Hall taking the reins from CMC after this year would be seemless. Not to mention Hall and Purdy being best friends in college. If the draft compensation ain't bad I'm throwing out an offer. Haven't checked salary cap so it may be impossible just want to have a plan for when CMC is gone.

Rumor is they made him sit out this last Sunday cause they didn't want him to get hurt so they can move him.

receiving team would take on cap hit on $13M and $14M cap hits in 27/28 (think 28 isn't fully GTD).

Love hall but I'm out with the injury money and giving up compensation for him

The question comes down to are the 49ers willing to part with trade capital. They elite are aging and they have to pick up players in the draft. However if they can somehow get Nelson to solve the LG issue and then structure a long term deal that allows them to retain other players and keep him, I'd say do it.

Do they need another WR? No. If you could pick up Wilson from the Jets who can help solve WR long term do you do that? Not sure on that one.
Or do you focus on the DL and landing say Buckner or Mack or both? I think the DL has played wonderfully this year but got exposed yesterday, little pressure and they couldn't stop Atlanta.

Realistically though the question comes down to this. Do they get Nelson and say Buckner or Mack as rentals over the season and playoffs or do they focus on Buckner and Mack and when Bosa plays, have one of the elite defensive lines in the NFL this season that will take them over the top and then address left guard with a steady, proven vet that costs less? I'd like to hear thoughts, Nelson and Buckner or Mack or Mack and Buckner? Which is better for this team at this time? Would you spend the picks to get them and would you want to keep any longer this year and could you?

You're assuming Bosa is going to be the player he was. We haven't seen how he'll be since that surgery. He may be just average. He wasn't exactly terrorizing offenses before he was injured last season. We also need to worry about some part of his body falling off.

He was pretty damn good to start the season. After the bye he'll be one of the top edge rushers again, barring injury...
