ESPN's Dan Graziano believes Vita Vea could be traded before the NFL's trade deadline. With the Bucs' 2026 season circling the drain, Vea, 31, could be dealt in the coming weeks to a contending team looking to beef up their defensive line for a second half run to the postseason. In coming to a contract compromise with Vea before the regular season, the Bucs "didn't act as if he was part of their long-term future, and if teams come looking for a big, run-stuffing defensive tackle, Tampa would be silly not to listen," Graziano said. Vea through Week 6 has a 17 percent pass rush win rate, which ranks 15th among defensive tackles. - Denny Carter
Going on a limb here and predicting John Lynch makes this trade for Vita Vea. I understand how solid Halton and Osa been, but he would definitely upgrade the run defense. I just don't think Lynch swings for the fences for a pass rusher with Bosa coming back and how improved the pass rush has been with Height, White and even Dugger.
buck has been much better than Vita this yr and playing great football. Go get Buck and Downs or Demario Douglas!
PFF grades paint a similar picture as well, I think hes first in sacks for DI as well with 6 on the year(I could be wrong here)......
That being said I haven't really watched him live so I don't know if the eye test matches up with these stats...
With that also being said I'm still in the book of welcoming him back for a cheap trade, but wouldn't throw the book at him...
