Yeah I said this before but idk why the rams traded so much for a position they already had a really good young player. They upgraded their position but not a major upgrade cause they already had a really good DL. They didn't replace garret with someone mediocre or bad, they replaced a very good young player for a very very good older player and it was super expensive.

trades of that magnitude should be at a real position of need. They essentially took a very good young DE and traded that players youth and prime (and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) for an older players last bit of prime. Just so weird to me.

then they added a 35 year DT who hasn't played in 2 years, which I don't think was great. He may get better as the year goes on but I never found that to be some "terrifying" move.

Highly doubt that happens he's gonna be paid like one of the top TEs and we're not gonna pay 2 TEs that kind of money nor should we or anyone that's just nuts

Personally, I like how our new DT's are doing and improving every game. Osa and Halton are locks, and Sebastian is improving game by game and I'm looking forward to seeing James Thompson ragdoll Offensive Linemen like Sebastian.

Where I'm concerned is Punt returns. Cowing gives me the Kyle Williams vibes. One idea is to get a new punt returner via trade or free agency, the other is to have Jordan James take on the punt return role too.

This 2026 draft kinda looks like the home run draft that 1986 was. The youth we got in 1986 powered the Dynasty almost into a three-peat Superbowl.

Should give Watkins a shot at punt returning at this point and see what he can do.

Vea is untradable with his contract. TB can't afford it and neither can we,

Yup. Or bring Pauling off the practice squad and replace Cowing completely
Would love Buck but I don't see that happening. If JL can get some significant help without giving up high end assets that would be amazing. In my perfect world we trade with Indi for Keenan Allen and LA for Mack. We wouldn't give up much and they are both on 1 year deals. Both would instantly help and are highly productive vets still.

I thought I read somewhere that the 49ers would only take $2 mil cap hit or something like that. Gotta remember that Vea has been paid for 5 or 6 games already.

Yeah, they gave up A LOT, and it wasn't like a huge upgrade, Verse is a really good EDGE, and is really young and will only get better, and then they gave up a 1, 2 and a 3, and have only gotten 1 game I believe, when he should have had surgery in the offseason, just badly mismanaged by the Rams, they really should be getting ripped by the media but they don't for some reason.

Edit: Oh and yeah Donald, 2yrs away, and he's not the same player he was, and all those Rams fans who talked so much trash about how they're the greatest team ever, so I'm having a great time watching their downfall, and the whole taking a QB in the 1st when they could have used a WR, just mind boggling and they the media doesn't say s**t, but we do it and we get ripped apart, and rightfully so.

I don't think either team clearly won that trade right now because Myles has been hurt all year, and Jared Verse has been awful in Cleveland. Last time I looked, he had a pathetic 5% win rate. That's a massive drop off from his first few years in LA when he hovered around 20%.

I talked about this when that trade happened, but Jared Verse is a one-trick pony. He's quite literally all power and added nothing else since college. He relies way too much on that bullrush. I surmised that one of the reasons the Rams were willing to move on from him is because they may have believed he had reached his ceiling. Maybe he eventually turns it around in Cleveland, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's simply been figured out by the league.

Maybe Verse just doesn't want to be there and he's playing like s**t on purpose to force a trade?

I mean he has it better in Cleveland than in LA right now. Cleveland is having a pretty good season. That team is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball.

The Rams wanted Stribling and we beat them to him after they stupidly took a qb in the first.
