He's a 50 year old DC with a career 37-56 record as HC.

No one will be banging down the door to give him a 3rd shot imo.

He was already a top candidate for the Cards and Raiders jobs. Teams just love picking apart Shanahan's tree.

You're right. I think he'll get interviews, especially on a deep playoff run and there are multiple jobs available. Some quality coordinators who failed I think its worth it to get in your building and talk about why it didn't work before in an interview. With that said, I hope we keep Morris at least 4 years ( sane system for our defense would be great) and that Morris can develop KJ Wright. I can see why Shanahan has always wanted him.

Also applauding Lynch for starting to stack some good draft classes. I think 2024 will shine even more if Pearsall can get a full season in.

Personally I think Kyle's gained a lot of confidence in John's scouting and player evaluation skills. I think he's developed a trust in John to let Kyle offload to John a lot of personnel decisions because he's confident John *knows* the type of player he and his assistant coaches want. It also helps that John can also talk to Kyle's father too if he needs to -- to help in making some of the more difficult personnel decisions.

It's never Hill time.

This

If we can forgive our owner we can forgive hill. As long as he has that 4.3 speed. If not he's a terrible human being and no one should give him a shot

Well, Salehs Performance in Tennessee should help us in that regard.

trade makes sense we are so thin and they did a trade before for e sanders and he gave a real boost in season

the argument against trade is we can put evans, cmc, kittle, on the field at once and that's 3 HOF, with trent another gold jacket
we just are kind of a joke in 11 personnel guys like cooks and cowing who are not good players right now, wonder if we could get jennings back

I really, really do not see the comparison. Hill punching his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach in the hope of inducing an abortion. What did Jed do that stands comparison with that?

Nothing but this is the forum where all kinds of accusations and wild predictions are made.

Was he? Or was he checking a box? Its the reality of the Rooney rule like it or not.

Again would anyone here want a twice fired 50 year old coach back in 2017?

I'm a believer in Ricky Pearsall's talent and think this could have been a historic offense (it already is in some ways) with a healthy Pearsall and Stribling, but you simply cannot trust Pearsall with a pricey extension given his health history. Puni is playing excellent and comping up, I would pay him before I paid Pearsall.
Let's hope he's pickier about his HC choices than Saleh was. Reports were that people in the 49ers org expected Saleh to be pickier and were a little shocked he took the TEN job.

i could see Morris taking the GB job, if it becomes available. He obviously won't go back to the TB job. Bengals might open, but I don't think it's likely, but I'd expect him to take that cause of burrow.

i hope Morris doesn't go anywhere and we have him for a dew

Ever since Adam Peters left the 49ers' scouting department, the drafts have been GREAT. Since Peters' departed, the 49ers have drafted:

Upton Stout
Dominic Puni
Ricky Pearsall (TALENT is there, injury woes have been unpredictable
Jaden Dugger
Mykel Williams
Gracen Halton
Tatum Betune (Would start on probably 50%+ of NFL teams)
Malik Mustapha
Kaelon Black
Connor Colby
Renardo Green
Marques Sigle
De'Zhaun Stribling

I don't EVER wanna hear "John Lynch can't draft" again.

Bengals job might not be a bad gig for Raheem, they have the nucleus for a deadly passing offense locked in for the next few years and a lot of talent on D. Let's see how the Bengals finish the year, the job might not be open.

Personally, if I'm an NFL owner/GM, I'm good on Raheem Morris- he has had his chances and failed. Being a HC and a coordinator/play-caller are two very different jobs, Raheem is an amazing defensive mind, but that doesn't mean his talents are suited to be the face of an organization.

Yeah, that's a wild statement. Most men feel sorry for Jed while they want to punch Hill themselves.

Raheem Morris was one of three top candidates — alongside Anthony Campanile and Mike LaFleur — considered for the Arizona Cardinals' head coaching vacancy before the job went to Mike LaFleur.

Only three candidates, they narrowed their search to, but don't you think the Cards could've interviewed just about anyone for the Rooney rule. Believe what you will but it doesn't change the fact that he's still being considered for head coaching jobs.
