We keep saying stuff like this, but we just beat the Rams with Lynch's roster including his rookies from this years draft that I didn't like either.

So are we just hoping for a GM that will come in and draft the guys we like?

We hope so, but we don't know the full extent of their injuries yet. The best case scenario is likely that they still miss several games, which definitely would be a massive relief after the way it looked last night.

Regardless, it's hard to feel confident that this season will be better than the last two in terms of injury avoidance and it doesn't look like the team's approach is improved. With league average health, we probably would have been a dynasty since 2019, which is what makes this so frustrating.

It's been discussed ad nauseam why they may want to revise their draft strategy. I just threw out a name if they opted to go that route .

Lynch's seat might be a little warmer than the media thinks. Those shaky drafts, lucrative contracts and pretty much all trades besides CMC/Trent are really starting to add up. Have to think we would have a ring by now if we just managed our assets at least a tiny bit better.

I'm confident the 49er Braintrust isn't going to break the duo that had two super bowl appearances and a couple of NFC West Championships., since they took over from Chimp Kelly. They extended Kyle, and most likelty that signals that they probably already have extended Lynch. We'll see.

Realistically, what IOL that's a real good run stuffer will be available at the trade deadline?

I haven't followed Defo in a while, idk if he's hurt or doing well, but getting him or Arik back to being hope the trophy would be badass

Beating a team that belongs in the cfl is masking an annual injury pandemic that continues to accelerate. We are down at receiver and the d line is suffering. Just wait until we play a real team. Our gaps will be exposed. Brock won't be looking like he did when he has nobody to throw to and he needs to score 35 to win… We can't afford anymore injuries and we don't have the depth to cover them if they happen. This is the problem with fielding the oldest team while also missing on draft picks. When the senior citizen squad is healthy and on the field we look great. When they go down one by one we meet the analyst expectations. Every year we get teased with spectacular performances for a few games then reality clubs us. Just saying… we keep doing it the lynch way and we will continue being frustrated and disappointed.

Funny to read people pretending NFL football is not a high impact collision sport where injuries are the nature of the beast.

"Oh, my God, ALL of these injuries!" ... If it's just too much for you to cope, go watch flag football.

I think Dugger will help the run stuffing by turning a four man line into a five man line if he lines up at the LOS. Add in Mykel Williams comming back in a couple of weeks - long term i'm confident the run defense will improve.

I think CJ West and Alfred haven't done as well this year as last year, is because of more of a scheme change than A regression in talent.

CJ West and Alfred Collins aren't the type of DT's that Raheem likes. He likes Pocket Collapsers over Space Eaters. Unlike coordinators who rely on massive, immovable defensive tackles to soak up blocks (Saleh/Demeco in the Wide 9), Morris prioritizes athletic interior defenders with high pass-rush efficacy. His scheme actively manufactures one-on-one situations across the line, requiring defensive tackles who can win those matchups rapidly.
