But once again. We were in the exact position the Rams were in 2021 and had every chance to finish with the Lombardi but 2 key injuries, some brutal turnover luck and decisions stopped it from happening. Jed had the right team in place, they just didn't close it out. And I can guarantee had the refs favored us the way they did the Rams in their SB, we win.

Just trash luck on our part but you can't point to the Rams doing something so different from us. If we're being real had we not been as banged up as we were we're playing in that SB. Not to mention I don't know if that Rams team would've done well playing in the freezing temps of Lambeau had we not knocked out the #1 seed for them. Oh yeah and F Tartt!

Hopefully this year we don't help them out...
Yes you can. How many first round picks have we traded away for established All-Pros?

The Rams definitely wouldn't be sitting quietly on the most cap room in the league like we are.

Why does it have to be first round picks?

You realize Rams didn't trade any first round picks for established All Pros that were the main reason they won that SB right? The Rams DID sit quietly on the most cap room when they didn't have a team they felt could be favored to win it all.

Stop acting like Stafford doesn't exist

How many All Pros did Stafford have when the Rams traded for him? 49ers tried to trade for Aaron Rodgers...actually someone who had All Pros but the Packers didn't want to do the deal. They tried to trade for Khalil Mack and actually offered more than Bears gave the Raiders but Davis didn't want to trade Mack to the 49ers.

So what exactly was your point other than after the Rams traded for Stafford and made a bunch of other moves and still got lucky with a few things they won a SB and we didn't?

Your argument is so weak you have to make the league MVP and a Super Bowl win seem like they didn't happen or were just coincidental.

Do better.

Yeahhhh I mean is what it is there lol. I think height, halton and carver will get some playing time this yr. Id feel a lot better about Williams if he wasn't coming off the ACL.

I'd trade a first round pick for a proven pro bowl caliber Edge, OG, OC or S. Doesn't have to be an all pro player. The way I see it, the draft is a crapshoot and since we should be a playoff team we'd be picking in the back half of the first round anyway so why not get a proven player with our 1st round pick instead of gambling on one.

I would not trade multiple high picks for those said positions.

It's looking like you're the one projecting arguing in bad faith painting me as unreasonable, delusional and not giving Lynch any credit when I have multiple times while you're the one dancing around the facts not acknowledging Lynch's falter. Maybe take your own advice if you're going to talk about the good maybe recognize the bad

Niners have arguably the best tandem (when healthy) at LB and also have a lot of solid depth there. Interior D line is going to wreak havoc every game. We have a lot of depth at Edge but not one elite dude (Bosa and MW coming off injury)... can be very good when those two get back healthy. Our CBs are legit good and there's solid depth at that position too. Brown and MM are solid box safeties as long as they don't have to cover. We just added Ashtyn Davis which was a nice signing to help at FS and Sigle is competing, but that's still concerning...

Having said all that, adding Jesse Bates and Thibs could automatically erase the doubts and make the D scary good
Get another Edge and reinforce the Safety spot more, get to the SB

I hope this dude comes out of retirement and suddenly gets forced to retire before the season done ya feel me

So I don't get this. So we're just giving up on Williams, and Height just gonna watch from the bench?

Ok Williams plays inside on 3rd down. The names you want to trade for all 3 down players basically and aren't on a rookie contract. You want to pay 70-80mil a year for two DE? A 1/4 of our cap space basically.

We need to develop talent. Maxx Crosby isn't some 1 year rental.

The Rams 2nd highest paid player on the DL now is $9 mil a year. It's not the same situation.

It was a question….I tossed his name out there because he's basically already been traded. Doesn't have to be an edge rusher.

FWIW the Rams had two great young edge rushers and two good interior rushers and still went after Myles.

You made a comment that wasn't accurate and you think I need to do better?

Matt Stafford was not an All Pro player let alone an MVP when the Rams traded for him which means your post was incorrect.

Whatever happened after that doesn't change that reality. Hope that helps.

Now I've already talked about the minor differences in the SBs that went in the Rams favor so they're SB champs and against us so we're not.

This is why playing this stupid "Rams want to win but the 49ers don't" type of game is ridiculously stupid.

The front office had the team competing for SBs in several seasons. In two SBs things that had nothing to do with personnel decisions cost us the game. Literally more favorable officiating with everything else being the same gets us 2 Lombardis.

So pretending the Rams are out here doing some magical stuff while this regime doesn't want to win is just silly.
