Wasn't just the Stafford trade. They lucked into getting Von Miller on that "aging vet wants to go to a winning team special" and then Browns(what is it with this friggin team!!) cut OBJ and of course he signed with them.
But once again. We were in the exact position the Rams were in 2021 and had every chance to finish with the Lombardi but 2 key injuries, some brutal turnover luck and decisions stopped it from happening. Jed had the right team in place, they just didn't close it out. And I can guarantee had the refs favored us the way they did the Rams in their SB, we win.
Just trash luck on our part but you can't point to the Rams doing something so different from us. If we're being real had we not been as banged up as we were we're playing in that SB. Not to mention I don't know if that Rams team would've done well playing in the freezing temps of Lambeau had we not knocked out the #1 seed for them. Oh yeah and F Tartt!
Hopefully this year we don't help them out...
The Rams definitely wouldn't be sitting quietly on the most cap room in the league like we are.
Why does it have to be first round picks?
You realize Rams didn't trade any first round picks for established All Pros that were the main reason they won that SB right? The Rams DID sit quietly on the most cap room when they didn't have a team they felt could be favored to win it all.
Stop acting like Stafford doesn't exist
How many All Pros did Stafford have when the Rams traded for him? 49ers tried to trade for Aaron Rodgers...actually someone who had All Pros but the Packers didn't want to do the deal. They tried to trade for Khalil Mack and actually offered more than Bears gave the Raiders but Davis didn't want to trade Mack to the 49ers.
So what exactly was your point other than after the Rams traded for Stafford and made a bunch of other moves and still got lucky with a few things they won a SB and we didn't?

It's looking like you're the one projecting arguing in bad faith painting me as unreasonable, delusional and not giving Lynch any credit when I have multiple times while you're the one dancing around the facts not acknowledging Lynch's falter. Maybe take your own advice if you're going to talk about the good maybe recognize the bad

So I don't get this. So we're just giving up on Williams, and Height just gonna watch from the bench?
Ok Williams plays inside on 3rd down. The names you want to trade for all 3 down players basically and aren't on a rookie contract. You want to pay 70-80mil a year for two DE? A 1/4 of our cap space basically.
We need to develop talent. Maxx Crosby isn't some 1 year rental.
The Rams 2nd highest paid player on the DL now is $9 mil a year. It's not the same situation.
Most QB pressures over the last 2 seasons, per @NextGenStats…

Your argument is so weak you have to make the league MVP and a Super Bowl win seem like they didn't happen or were just coincidental.
Do better.
