Facts! And now Garrett is in our division.

So to Trent I will say this: you held the team over a barrel to get paid in multiple seasons. Myles Garrett is now in the division. When last seen against you he was beating you like a rented mule. With the money you were able to force out of the 49ers you should never be needing help from Kittle. We expect that help for McKivitz, not the supposed top LT in the league who's a 1st ballot HOF'er. You demanded top LT money, you got top LT money, now it's time for you be a top LT against one Myles Garrett. Period!

Myles beats the s**t out of every OT. I'll take Trent over 90% of the other LTs in the league.

And so will I. But just like Jared Verse is no Myles Garrett, Trent Williams isn't "every OT" (not saying you said that). So we are well within our rights as fans to expect for Trent to be able to hold up against the best DE in the league without help because Trent is the best OT in the league. Do I expect Trent to be perfect against Myles Garrett? Not at all. Do I expect Trent to force Myles Garrett play on McKivitz's side? Absolutely! I don't wanna see Trent consistently getting help from Kittle or Juice. That'll tell me that Trent is stealing money, not earning it. So for me, I expect to see Trent winning way more against Myles Garrett than Myles Garrett winning against Trent.

I expect our best to be the best against the best. So bring on the Rams. After all, they lobbied to play us in the opener

I hate to say it, but the Rams are turning into the NFL version of the Dodgers and it sickens me. At least there's a salary cap in the NFL. But to see them consistently acquire the top talent in the league is so disheartening.

What's more disheartening - maddening in fact - is that we're doing very little to keep pace with those in our division. I'm starting to believe that we've become the Cowboys It seems that we're more concerned with sustained competitiveness than actually winning.

And more than half of those 23 sacks came in just 4 games against either bottom tier or backup tackles. Still impressive, I guess, but more of a fluke than anything.

I'm sure everyone was saying Lynch should be fired after the Parsons trade last year too. Everyone thought that the Packers were going to cruise to a Super Bowl victory. Then they finished with a worse record than they had the prior season and Parsons contributed nothing after his ACL tear.

Again, players can be a force and a factor without being the DPOY after 30. We also saw nothing that says otherwise last year from his game to believe he's declining.

It's not just about the sacks, it's about the pressures/hurries/forced throwaways, the double teams he commands, the fact that he forces every DC to account for him in their weekly game plan. The tape says your hot takes and cherry picked stats are fake news.

One doesn't have to knock one of the leagues best players regardless of position to try and make whatever point you wish to make.

Soooo…your assumptions. Got it

If you think Kyle didn't have influence on trading for Trent and CMC then I don't know what to tell you. I'm not giving him sole credit either but even by your own "proof" of Lynch looking at Mahomes he ultimately didn't override Kyle then but did for Garoppolo fumbling several top end draft picks in the process. While there are accounts of Mike and Kyle finding Purdy and even saying he was the best QB they had to Jed's face during Treys year and Garoppolo still on the team.

Also looked it up and what do you know…

2020 Trade: After sitting out the 2019 season in Washington, Williams specifically desired a fresh start in an elite scheme. The 49ers were his preferred destination, reuniting him with head coach Kyle Shanahan, who was his offensive coordinator in Washington

This is what's called a bad faith argument.

I get it that you're upset but the Niners aren't going cheap. They have some of the highest paid players at their position. When a player like Garrett becomes available only certain teams have a real chance at making the deal. They have to have the right trade pieces and the player must be willing to accept the trade. Some teams may have been able to offer enough and some teams may have been good destinations. The Rams had both of those things plus a team that was close to winning a SB.

So sustained competitiveness isn't winning? Lol
Still hasn't addressed safety, still need a veteran who can help on the edge. No major upgrades to the OL. Can't take Lynch serious.

RELAX.... Lynch and Shanny will end up figuring the mess out... They are just waiting for THAT " Diamonds In The Rough " to develop.. They have all the time in the world because our owner loves them both... it may take another 15 years, but the Brick After Brick Brothers will get it done..

when does "keeping up with the Jones'" ever work out? You guys are too concerned with what other teams do. We'd have to give up dang near 3 first round picks to get Garrett. I don't think that is worth it.

Sustained competitiveness = actuals wins

Firmly in 3rd place in the NFC west

hahahahahahaha

rams and hawks win rings

niners talk about rings but once again Kyle is looking up at better teams. Suck it Kyle! Suck it John!!

Fans get carried away and live in the moment. They act like the Rams have been dominating the division for tears. The facts are that the 49ers and Rams have each won the division 3 times and the Seahawks have won twice in the last 8 seasons. The Niners might have won at least one and maybe two more except for key injuries. Nobody is dominating this division. In any given season any one of the 3 teams could win and be favored to go to the SB.

We just watched Seattle win a SB in our stadium and now we watched LA get the best player in the game.

They aggressively got Stafford which lead to a SB and now they have the best team in the league with Garrett. Throw Garrett on that DLine? Good luck.

We can't score more than 6 points vs McDonald and Seattle and now the Rams have Garrett while we drafted a 3rd round receiver with the 33rd pick who won't see the field and a 5th round RB in round 3 who won't get touches over CMC.

Just brilliant roster building from these two geniuses. Nothing has changed with these guys.

-Take Solomon Thomas at 1.3
-Trade DeForest Buckner
-Draft Javon Kinlaw
-Trade 3- 1sts for Trey Lance
-Choose Jimmy G over Tom Brady
-Let the Rams trade for Stafford
-Draft 3 RB's in round 3/4 for 3 years in a row and two of them lasted a year
-Do it again this year with a guy ranked as a 5th round prospect
-Extend Aiuyk instead of trading him for a 2 and a player
-Never upgrade the Oline in a division with the Rams and Seahawks
-Multiple draft busts from rounds 1-3 every single year

It's absolutely mind blowing how these guys still have a job.

It really is amazing.

How? You boasted on how good Lynch is trading but all the evidence/proof I've shown says otherwise. You can give Lynch 100% credit for CMC and it still wouldn't out weigh the negative. I don't hate Lynch but I disagree with your position on him making great trades
