This does not change the fact that they are horrific in terms of value, and as a result have a pretty iffy draft. I dont mind their late round picks, but I also never minded their late round picks. Its the first few rounds that they always screw up. Because they lack understanding of value and the value of guys they want, they end up missing out on a lot of picks and guys.

Instead, they continue to try to be the smartest people in the room and fail spectacularly but still for some reason think theyre doing the right thing. Not once has reaching for a RB in the third or fourth has panned out for them. NOT ONCE. And yet they keep doing it. Doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome was famously outlined as 'insanity'.

I remember arguing with someone on here how Kyle does not learn not only from mistakes of others, but his own mistakes. What better example to have here than his obsession with taking RBs in mid rounds only to discard them later ? And it makes even less sense now with how much Kyle utilizes CMC.

firing Shanny would be insane,they need to hire a quality GM and limit Shannys control over draft day decisions problem solved.

The problem is for your scenario Jed needs to grow balls and be prepared to hear the "if Im not in charge of everything, I quit" response from Kyle. Kyle is a micromanager and taking power away from him is not gonna be easy.

Kyles personnel evaluation does remind me more and more of late Bill Bellichik drafts. "The patriots way" yada yada, trading down and still reaching for guys for his system that never panned out. Delusional and having complete trust in himself and never in doubt. I guess at least Bill won a few SBs, but the similarities are striking.

I love Shanny, so I don't want him fired. Lynch is whatever. I just don't know how you address this scenario if you're Jed.

I don't get the feeling that Jed feels any urgency to do anything, either. I feel like he's happy with the way things are.

Lynch doesnt need to be fired. Hes out of contract after the season. You negotiate a new deal with Kyle and either Lynch moves upstairs or he leaves and you give one of our personnel guys who are highly thought of control of personnel. Kyle can pick final 53 but thats it.

Overall, this draft turned out pretty well. I was hoping for OL talent earlier, but the need to take more players weighed against early selection of O linemen.

The coaches will be busy coaching up the noobs, but that's their jobs. This new crew seems to have good heads on their shoulders, good speed, and mostly good size. Stribling should be plug-n-play once he learns the play book. Most of them should contribute this season in varying measures.

How far we go depends on whether Bosa, Kittle, and Pearsall will be fully back and staying healthy.

I don't think anybody needs to be fired. This draft class was one of the lowest graded ones in terms of talent. I think ShanaLynch did a pretty good job getting some talent and filling some team holes. You can't judge this draft as a terrible draft just yet. As for 2025 it got us back in the playoffs. I think this draft will end up a decent one too, but I'll withhold my own evaluations until I see these draftees perform this season. overall, i think ShanaLynch have been gradually improving their drafting every year.

Promoting within would just be more of the same need to go outside of the organization.

This is exactly what I was talking about. Would Jed even tell Kyle John has to go, and or Kyle is losing some of his personal power etc. how would Kyle take that? Jed is a putts so I don't see anything happening unless his wallet is being effected.

I'm curious if John renews next year. He's a bs artist so itts hard to read what he may be thinking.

Not necessarily. I don't think the issue is the personnel guys. It's Kyle is deciding who he wants the first two days. Look at the success on day 3 when the personnel guys get involved.

LMAO. This draft isn't as gratifying or exciting as last year, IMO. I question a handful of the selections and/or why we selected them there - but I hope these guys turn out to be awesome football players and shine for us. We will see

duggar is going to be a big surprise IMO.

Gms don't generally get to the point of being lame duck. The fact that Lynch is one means there is some level of questioning from ownership.

Kyle needs a new deal extension himself after the year so that is when this will all be hashed out.
