I had some hope for this upcoming season after FA. Thought a good draft would build on that. But that went down the drain today. I know a SB is not going to happen this year, or any year after for that matter, until changes are made at GM. We'll most likely be good, maybe make the playoffs, but SB…or even sniffing it…good luck!

don't even care to learn any of the names drafted, or trying to get myself hyped up watching tape or reading up on them like previous years. They're not going to see field this year, or ever, unless we have a 2020 season when the whole team went down.

You can fool me once…

Lynch isn't a "draft guru" GM. Never was, never will be. If all you care about for the GM role is the draft than "figurehead" fits. But the draft is only part of a GMs job. For a GM like Lynch it's not so much about making the actual picks but about enabling the staff they have hired to scout and coach build the internal board and let that dictate the process.

There was absolutely no complaint the year he actually did this and the team was successful. They didn't b***h till the next year when they had a s**t rookie qb andhe was actually gone. He got fired for drafting jj and getting rid of Sam point blank. Probably deserved but you take a qb high 1st you have to play them and hope they hit for the low contract. I am certain he wishes he signed Sam.

You're out of your mind if you don't think a GM has anything to do in training camp. There's currently a headcase paperweight on this team from decisions made at that time. Mensah's incompetence also goes well beyond McCarthy.

Please tell me what the f**k he would be doing early in training camp??? He was working remotely watching every snap. Is this out of the ordinary?? Absolutely. He was fired because he went with jj instead of Sam. Point blank. A decision which was probably 50/50 between him and stefanski. No one said a word about them race before he was fired.

They haven't had a good draft in years. They win because of the old players they drafted. Kittle, Bosa, Warner. They haven't done s**t in a long time. Seattle keeps pushing the big ass gap further and further from SF.

Probably pretty close. I wouldn't undersell the role of the analytics department in building our board though.

To me, Lynch is really just the public face of the position and likely a high quality communicator who acts as a liaison for the real power brokers.
If you throw in the McCaffrey and Williams trades this team has used more day 2 draft capital on RB than either OL or secondary in their 10 drafts. Thats just an inexcusable failure of understanding draft positional value.

The analytics aren't the ones overvaluing the rb position I can guarantee that.

Lol. Definitely wouldn't think so.

If those guys end up being studs, man…

Oh I don't know... evaluating roster battles, 53 man cuts, and negotiating holdouts; to name a few. And, finally, his incompetence went well beyond McCarthy. Done here.

We have ten years of data to suggest that Kyle is an incredible offensive coach and a fairly fantastic coach overall.

That same data suggests whatever they do personnel wise is pretty lacking. I think it's a combination of: Kyle not being good at personnel at all, while having to much say in it.

Lynch is a weak personnel GM who doesn't know how to check and balance Kyle.

And then there is Paraag, who's presence just immediately removes us from having any chance at a proper GM.

So ultimately in the end Jed sucks.

Is lynch and Shanahan using chatGPT to draft?
Is this the worst day 2 of the draft of this regime?

I care less about a proper GM and more about the personnel guys making the calls on personnel. The problem is clearly Kyle is big timing that decision making process with his personnel draft skill position crushes. That has to stop. He's just not good at it.

One of the personnel guys has to be bumped to being in control of the personnel acquisition. Bellicheck couldn't draft either. I don't want this to go down that road.
