There is a store/business in San Francisco that is run all by A.I. it puts out job openings, it interviews candidates, and it does the hiring... it runs what should be sold in the store, just manages the whole store.

You're out of your mind if you don't think a GM has anything to do in training camp. There's currently a headcase paperweight on this team from decisions made at that time. Mensah's incompetence also goes well beyond McCarthy.

Let's not forget he was with the organization prior to Kyle. Another 'friend of the family' to keep it simple.

I personally don't think this will change under this regime (Kyle/John). These guys have contracts and Kyle had so much leverage when he was hired.

Like you mentioned earlier, his coaching and his ability to put a high quality staff around him have masked structural deficiencies in the organization (I obviously added my opinion about the structural deficiencies which you may or may not agree with).

Can you find a guy to work in parallel with Paraag who is primarily a personnel guy? I'm not sure we can, or that they'd even want to.

Lynch is up after this season I believe.

If you pay well enough you might get one of our Personnel guys to be good with it. Williams interviewed with Atlanta even though Ryan was gonna be in charge.

But he likely will not have final say on the roster. That's a stipulation in Kyle's contract, though admittedly none of us can verify that (can't see the contract).

We've had some high quality personnel guys here, at least by reputation, during Kyle's tenure.
How we dont draft OL or S with the first 3 picks is beyond me.

Seems a little overly intense to rail on the guy here for it.
Normally, you would expect your incoming draft class would help your team get younger, but that doesn't seem like it will be the case this year. A 24-year-old, a 25-year-old, which will put them both edging up on 30 by the time their contracts are due for an extension. Hopefully, they'll be able to get a few good years out of them.

As I've often said, I don't follow college football at all, so one name is about the same as another to me, but reading the scouting reports on the picks so far has left me felling a little underwhelmed. I mean, you never know how a player's college game will transfer to the NFL but still, it would be nice to see them snag a hands down blue-chipper from time to time. I know drafting late limits the opportunities to do that, and the buzz around this draft seems to be that it's short of high-end talent, but every once in a while, I would like to be able to read about a 49ers pick and say, "heck, yeah!"

I'm not railing on him. Just pointing out he's a Jed/Paraag guy, and that's why he's here.

yes it is KAM who is reponsible for taking yet another RB in the third round, that b*****d. before him we did no such thing !

and Lynch, holding Kyle hostage and drafting luxury picks, how dare he ?

lol its been a decade and folks still fall for fairy tales of lynch having final say, especially on offensive players. lmao.

I never said he was responsible for final say but his track record is awful.

Secondly, it's clear that Kyle has as much say as John in the final call. And, that's why John needs to be replaced by someone who is not beholden to any head coach or coordinator.
What changed from today compared to 2017-2020?

I meant the original post on him, not yours.

Fair enough, my mistake.

With NIL expect many more older draft prospects as guys stay in college 5-6 years to make more money than they can as 3rd-5th round draft picks. Age 24-25 rookies are gonna become far more common.
I honestly think Lynch should be fired tomorrow.
Did not address a single need. What in the actual bleep was his plan here?
