I haven't been following the thread recently. What's everyone's priority with corners? It's pretty high up there for me. If BPA is corner first round, I hope they do it. I'm honestly ok with drafting BPA for any position, as long as it's the BPA. John and Kyle don't typically go BPA and pull a reach around on us.

Perfectly fine with this, I've been screaming for this team to draft BPA not for need. Drafting for need is what has killed this team with their horrific drafting lately. If the BPA happens to be a cb just take him, this team just needs great players with the great core aging

Look I get that BPAs can also be busts. But I can't take another Kinlaw or Mykel Williams (hopefully not too early to tell) situation. I think Mykel has a chance to turn it around

dude its been 1 year and he got injured halfway through. He also played well the D fell of a cliff after his injury we were at least threading water a bit after Bosa injury

i swear fans cant even wait a year before labeling someone a bust lol

This guy is a very good playmaker. Just what we need however he can't give up big plays as well. One more thing about him, he returns punts right? He might be our main punt returner and Christian Kirk could also chip in.

can't make a trade until June 1st anyway
we wont get much for him unfortunately. Im surprised there is any intrest given his contract
who wants to keep this guys salary after his knee was torn apart? lucky if we get a 7th rounder next year for him

Its honestly unserious takes. Many, Many NFL players take 2-3 years to develop. Especially on the lines.

Not anymore. Fans want instant success now. Not just in the first year. They want it in the first game. Waiting 2-3 years to evaluate a player is so old fashioned. /s

I still think we end up signing one of these vets that are available. There are a lot of guys still unsigned who can help our pass rush. No need to reach in the draft to fill the 3rd DE spot.
I wonder how it feels to be John Lynch when you draft a guy like Trey Lance or Solomon Thomas #3 overall and within the first few weeks of practice you realize "he ain't it".

I also wonder how it feels to be John Lynch, when you draft a guy like Bosa #2 overall and after the first week of practice you realize that "you have something special".

Then of course I wonder how it feels to be John Lynch when you draft a guy like Kittle in the 5th, or Pudry with the last pick of the draft and after a few weeks you realize that you "have something special".

As a fan, this stuff is emotionally draining and uplifting all at the same time like a roller coaster ride. But I don't get to make the picks, and this is why draft day is so incredible!

Here we go again...

It's why I keep my reactions and emotions in check during the draft itself. It's nice to learn some new names and see what positions we're addressing but the reality is nobody has a clue how any single player let alone draft class is going to pan out for awhile.

I still remember being so hyped after Round 1 2017 and it was the worst round this regime has had lol. Picking up a future 3rd from the Bears that was eventually used to draft Warner is the only thing that went well that night in hindsight.

So true, but regardless of how our fans express their emotions or react to the draft. It is such a fun/interesting experience every year.
