How come there's not more discussion around Tyreek Hill? Would he be too expensive? Is the general consensus is that he suxs now after the injury? I know he can be a loudmouth, but never heard he was a bad teammate. I think if he comes back at even 80%, he would take our offense over the top

Probably money. I still believe Evans really screwed up the market for the rest of the receivers. Especially for guys like him, Diggs, and Jennings.

He's an entitled POS so thats why i'm not discussing him.
Plus i'm not sure him at 80% would move the needle for anyone. His game is predicated on speed. Once he becomes as fast as everyone else i dont see him effective anymore.

He has excellent hands and route running abilities. I don't think those things will go away. There's plenty of older receivers who lost a step at something, but reinvented themselves and were still effective. Plus I think he will still be fast. I'm also not saying we should break the bank for him. Get him at the right price

That 3rd party, whoever they hired, is definitely wrong. 100%. You can hire anyone you want to get the desired outcome. If you are truly trying to find out the truth, you would be 100% transparent, which the niners have not been. Personally, i don't care. Not my money, not my health at risk. What people want to do and believe is all on them, as long as it doesn't effect me.
This happens in the court room too. Battle of the experts. In this situation, I fall into the camp of "good that the team investigated this further, but my opinion will be informed by meaningful evidence rather than naked conclusion." If this is the last we've heard from Lynch on this issue, I'm not convinced of anything. Hopefully he shares more in the future.
It also doesn't really matter what I believe, but I have to imagine the average player whose health and livelihood are at stake will be at least a little skeptical.
I wonder why any folks that live near power supply stations ANYWHERE haven't suffered aliments associated with the substations? Is this only something that happens to football teams?

Probably because they don't pay a hazardous sport. Some people want to see proof but the only way to get that might be moving the training facility for a few years and see if injuries go down. I doubt that we would see much differfence. Then they would need to move back again and see if the rate went back up. As someone else stated you can find so called experts that say it could be the cause and others that will say it's nt a cause. I doubt anyone could definitely say it's a cause without making the changes I listed above. How could they prove it without several years of comparing with and without the power facility.

Thank God we won't be signing him.

Jed's comments clearly hint at a good chance of Lynch moving to a different role sometime in the near future. It sounds like they've already had conversations about a future transition.
Question now is who would we trust to take over. Would really love a shift towards BPA impact player drafting where we can't ignore obvious elite talent even when a decent player at a top need is on the board.
We need more needle movers.
I'd also really like to see them move toward a philosophy of drafting BPA, and my hope would be that they look to hire someone from outside the organization rather than just promoting an internal candidate.

Yeah I mean getting empirical evidence on this is really difficult for the reasons you noted. I just think transparency is better for collective understanding. Like I said, I'm not convinced either way and don't really need to be. If players and agents think similarly to me, this might be a relevant question / factor in their decision making.

Definitely helps to see FAs who want to work with Kyle and take a lesser deal. But it's all a combination of factors weighed subjectively, and these are just relevant data points.

One cuz he's a POS who may never be the same after his injury last year, would ask for too much money and isn't the type to keep his mouth shut if his stats are down but the team is winning.
Also he's simply not needed.

A deal is too costly for Joey Bosa. Says John Lynch. This team doesn't want to win. They like to save money. Rams went all in on their Super Bowl year. So did the Seahawks. They like to be just decent enough to fill up the stands, sell concessions and souvenirs. This isn't a serious team. Joey and his Mom want him to come here and the 49ers don't want to make a deal. This team man.
