If he can block Chris Jones for (only) half a second, he's already better than Barford

If he can stay on the field for at least two and a half quarters, he's already better than Bartch

Still throwing darts at the board for a serviceable LG so we're not going for a "can play LG for a year" type of OT.

We're not taking an OT in round 1 just to sit him for a year or two.

Only way we take an OT is if he's straight up replacing Trent and I'm not considering that right now.

DE/WR/DB are our first 3 picks imo, but not necessarily in that order.

Not likely to find a day one starter that low in the draft.

what is your suggestion?

Perhaps trade up is the only thing I see.

I went into the off season assuming if we traded Mac we'd be trying to move up in the first rather than hold the extra picks.

I guess the same could be true if we trade Trent or someone else. I don't see us moving up when we're already short of picks and still have holes to fill.

I don't like what I originally suggested as the plan, but based on what we're doing, and still doing, in FA it doesn't feel like a round 1 OL is the play.

Besides, those 3 4th round picks we have are screaming developmental OL, hope we hit Safety, and bench riding RB.

Hope I'm wrong. Like a lot of posters I've been on the OL train for a few seasons now.
Love the moves so far but we still haven't filled the biggest need. We need more edge rushers. Bosa and Williams both coming back from injury. Didn't bring back YGM or Cle. Don't really think we can afford to gamble on production from a rookie at the end of the 1st at best. Need to bring in Joey Bosa, Reddick, Clowney or someone.

You can guarantee they will be drafting a guy at 27. Let pray it's not another 1st round reach

Same.

Looks like it will be a patchwork Oline again this year.
(just has to be good enough I guess)

+ there is still time - I bet they add more OL/DL through the summer

I am guessing going DL again in the 1st.
Huff retired so something's gotta give. I highly doubt we won't sign at least one veteran edge even if it's someone like Floyd.

Yes they need to improve the pass rush but they also need to improve the run game. Whether that means getting more out of their backs or improving the line is a matter for discussion.

Leonard Floyd or Cam Jordan won't tax the pocket and they're still productive (one year rentals)
