Lynch needs to nail this draft. Even with the recent pick up of free agents Evans and company, our roster is top three league oldest. We need rookies who are durable and who can compete and contribute right away. We can't waste a single pick on this one especially when we only have six.

You're setting yourself up for a huge letdown if you think they are going to hit on all 6 picks. That has maybe been done a handful of times in the history of the draft. In reality a successful draft class is hitting on 3 or 4 players and when i say "hit" i mean average players or better. If you get 2 pro bowl caliber players that's a huge success.

thats not really fair to average it that way.

the offense is the oldest in the league.

The defense is among the youngest in league.

Well, Trent Williams is 37, Kyle Juszczyk is 34, and between them they boost the average rather seriously. Other than those two the O is quite young. Nothing to worry about.

agree. "oldest team in the league" is a little misleading.

Totally agree about the defense being one of the youngest but average wise according to google, 49ers are among the teams with the most players aged 29 or older, ranking as one of the oldest teams in the league. No intention to argue here but I just think it's a legitimate concern that's all.

Bye Felicia

You mean a great draft for Lynch. Competent GMs usually have a higher hit rate.

this has to be the last year of a SB "window"

in 2 years I don't see trent, kittle, cmc, juice etc on the team.

As long as we have Shanny, the window is always open

Yes he does which is why I'm terrified of us taking a guy like Cashius Howell. Love the pass rush ability...but the arm length is a total outlier to NFL success. I feel like we have to rule out as many possible reasons why guys don't work out.

Hopefully whatever evaluations they do the draft falls the best way possible for them because we really do need impact players now and in the future. Gotta start adding them via the draft.
