Let's hope John Lynch isn't too emotionally attached to his 5th round pick.

"The Green Bay Packers are releasing cornerback Nate Hobbs after one injury-plagued season. Hobbs suffered three separate knee injuries last year after signing a four-year, $48 million contract. By designating Hobbs as a post-June 1 cut, the Packers will save $8.8 million on the 2026 salary cap."
What google told me lol. We sure do like them injury-plagued players. In all seriousness, Packers did think enough of him to give him that contract. So got some talent at least.

I'm good with it, $4.5M isn't big at all, better than giving Woolen up to $15M on a 1yr deal.

Just an update, I have the 49ers at $23.554M under the 2026 salary cap, but that doesn't include Evans, Hobbs, Toth, Dre, Pineiro, & Tonges' deals, which should take up the majority of the $23.554M, Bosa redo saves $17.104M, TW extension saves up to $16.728M.
— Jason Hurley/2025 SF=$46,332,300 MIN=($45,746,884) (@49erscap) March 13, 2026
If they were to do both Bosa & TW then they'd have more than enough to bring in an EDGE, sign their draft class, and carryover somewhere in the $10M range into 2027, get back between $1.315M-$6.194M from Aiyuk post June 1 cut depending on how '26 option bonus proration is counted
— Jason Hurley/2025 SF=$46,332,300 MIN=($45,746,884) (@49erscap) March 13, 2026
So in reality they should be able to carryover in the $15M range into 2027, also the adjustments for 2026 aren't known just yet, so they could have more than the projected $23.554M right now if they get more than $13M in adjustments, maybe as high as $20M so a potential extra $7M

Cisco or another S would be nice plus draft another S (at least) by 3 rd round

Are the Centers I'd look to bring in for depth.
He did and was no worse than Brendel, I thought he was still on the team (need to keep him for back up)
I hope they can find a decent one in draft who can also play guard (to groom) with one of the 4th round picks

Sign Joey bosa and done or trade Mac and a 4th for Addison and done, I'm ok with either, cause i have 0 confidence in Ricky staying healthy, over or under he plays 8 games this season?

Might as well and trade for Crosby and go win the SB next year. DO IT!
Or we could just sign cam Jordan Instead
Cam Jordan and Joey Bosa
Be the most geriatric squad to date

I wanted him here last year. Youngsters could benefit with him around
A solid vet still producing, if he could get 10.5 sacks in NO, why not here with this D line
Not expensive too
