Given that the 49ers FA moves so far have focused on beefing up the OL, it's my guess that this trend will continue on draft day. I could see Shanahan drafting the best available tackle and guard with the first and second round picks. Which means Trent is probably history. Since the 49ers love to use Joe Staley to scout out the kind of talent Shanahan and Lynch want, Staley probably knows what the score is.
The Seahawks just destroyed the 49ers OL in those final two games. Purdy had no time to throw in both contests. The games were not even close. Even in the first game, which the 49ers won, Purdy got hurt and missed quite bit of the season.

This is my hope. O-line is some weird stubborn blind spot for them. I get they coach up guys and get a ton out of them, but yeah this current line can't handle a defense like Seattle. Sometimes you have to marry talent with coaching/scheme etc. and I would hope Kyle realizes this at this point. for me they need to stop missing on d line picks, and give more attention to o-line. I want to get back to dominating the trenches!

Retaining Tonges is a no brainer. They should dump Farrell.

Could designate him as a June 1st cut. But more likely we should hold off and let him compete with Tonges and rookies in TC. If we cut him outright now, we lose cap space.

Chubb signed by the Bills. He would have been fully recovered this year. Too bad, he was a good DE a few years ago pre injury

And he's a Bill. Common Maxx Crosby trade

He already signed with the Bills.
Also weren't we talking about trading for him
at the deadline and this whole site said "he stinks"?

Bradley Chubb is a shell of what he used to be. Don't let that 8.5 sacks throw you off.

I agree and thankfully they avoid the more serious injury flags the last few years. We have had such little luck with that I don't blame them.

32 teams showed up at the Navy Pro Day for the first time ever. My guess is that NFL teams are higher on him than the draftnik crowd. Maybe a 3rd rounder? Mid to late 3rd rounder?
Wow!! LOL. Haven't seen this much pro sports interest at a service academy since David Robinson.

Bargains, backup offensive linemen on other teams and 49er retreads is the theme of free agency. It isnt getting them near the Seahawks and Rams. This team is old, expensive and not enough quality on the roster.

Yes, cost us a 3rd
BREAKING: The #Cowboys are trading DT Osa Odighizuwa to the #49ers, multiple sources tell me.

The disruptive Odighizuwa had 17 sacks, 34 TFLs and 2 forced fumbles during his tenure in Dallas. pic.twitter.com/e9YmbXZXrC
