What's odd is how he fits this offense. He's traditionally had a big armed QB throwing him the ball deep...Purdy isn't that. At least Kyle doesn't have to spend 3-4 years developing him like he's had to with young guys here.

You act like Purdy is noodle armed. His deep ball is above average

Purdy and Mayfield are about the same only Mayfield has the better deep ball. IMO

Everyone sees Purdy as this screen throwing QB bc Deebo had amazing highlights that one year

Purdy usually is among the league leaders in air yards

He isnt afraid to throw deep shots...remember Pearsall week 1 against Seattle on the game winning drive?
Jalen carter a niner yet?

Baker has a stronger arm than Brock, that's crystal clear. But Brock is more accurate and sees the field better and quicker than Baker.
Mike Evans could have stayed with the Bucs, in their weak division. He choosed to go to the Niners for a reason.

Anyone disputing this is outing themselves as a troll from another team that doesn't watch 49er football and is just here to stir up crap. The film doesn't lie, Purdy is more than capable of throwing a good and accurate deep ball. Just because he isn't Josh Allen doesn't mean he's Alex smith

Mayfield has one of the strongest arms in the league. His velocity numbers at his combine were near Kermits. It's one of the reasons why he was selected #1 overall in his draft and not Mr. Irrelevant.

Combine Numbers...

Brock Purdy Iowa State 52 (Left) 51 (Right)
Baker Mayfield Oklahoma 59 (Left) 60 (Right)

And those numbers are before he had Tommy John Surgery. He's an accurate QB but velocity is not his forte.

Arm this arm that won't matter if he can't keep the back issues away!

We know what he's been. Hopefully the team gets more than just his name.
Those wondering how we pay for Evan's. If if we don't have the full detail of the deal
