Something like that, I think he went somewhere else before becoming the Vikings GM though, but good to have him back, despite the fact he wasn't great as the Vikings GM.

According to Wikipedia he had 2 titles.

As manager of football research and development, Adofo-Mensah developed under Marathe, who is renowned for his cap management work in the NFL.[3]

In 2017, Adofo-Mensah was retained under new general manager John Lynch and was promoted to director of football research and development.

I'm strictly judging him by his drafts in Mini-soda and this dude should find a new line of work.

It was maybe heavy he let Sam go and Sam goes to the SB and wins. Sam broke his back, He had just signed an extension before firing post SB.

Would love to see Lynch pull this off and prove me wrong. But where there's one team there's two or three others. Honestly would rather see him trade for a 3T DT.

The 49ers refuse to hire a real GM. Lynch and Shanahan want to call every shot. They cant even agree that someone else should be making the picks in April. 3rd round kickers,multiple wasted picks on RB's and WR's that never see the field and more wasted picks in rounds 1-3 then you can count.

Based on what I'm reading, seems like he's just coming in to mostly handle contract negotiations. Which he seems like he has a reputation for.
