My guy, they got JSN asking for $40M per right now. That's just one guy. They have a dozen FA (or guys on the last yr of their deals) that start or are very good rotational players.

It's what happens after a SB win (or loss) you have to give people raises, you will lose talent that you've been developing to get to that point.

it has nothing to do with going into cap hell, it's pointing out that their roster isn't gonna be the same next yr (like a lot of teams). They will ABSOLUTELY have to pay out a lot of that cap space for their current players this off season and rolled over into next yr. It's a fact and I have no clue why you're trying to argue with me about it.

acting like there's just another Stafford to be had is silly. You got a 3rd of the league looking for a QB. It's not that simple. They have picks THIS yr in a very underwhelming draft. We know Stafford is playing this yr, you think they're gonna draft a QB now? There is nothing in this draft.

It's not about who's a FA right now either, they have multiple DL that are in the last yr of their deal and more than likely aren't stepping onto the field without an extension. Like most good players. We've seen it here yr after yr. I'm guessing they spend picks on DBs because they have nothing currently. Puka is gonna be making $40M per and Adams is gonna want a new deal or will be leaving after this season. They lost their starting RT, they have to pay their LG top money etc.

where have I ever said they're in trouble? Again I'm pointing out all that "cap space" is gonna be accounted for with their own players for the most part. Much like when SF consistently had high end contract negotiations the past couple yrs NOW Seattle and the Rams (to a point) are going down that road.

FOR ONCE we don't have that (for better or worse) we don't have some massive in house contract extension to worry about (this yr or next). We can go out and make moves. We spent last off season cleaning the books and giving our QB a bag.

I feel like you're completely misinterpreting what I'm saying

Seattle has work to do but they will re-sign the guys they need to and they have a GM who has nailed his last few drafts.

They still have a far superior team than we do.

Disagree when healthy, we beat them last year as proof, good offseason changes things, it did for them, they got Demarcus Lawerence , cooper kupp, Rasheed shaheed, Sam darnold, earnest jones, were all free agents they got last year except shaheed as trade, but all were pick ups that put them over the top, stuff we can do the same with a good offseason.

Absolutely all that!!

I know they had solid drafts, but there's no denying all those offseason moves significantly moved the needle big time

FO needs to bring in the kind of depth that won't skip a beat when they have to take over for an injured player(s)... when healthy, Niners can compete and keep the game close with any team out there. Hopefully, they (at least) sign a DE/Edge, WR, FS in free agency

My point exactly. They made moves to an already strong roster and their roster is far superior to ours. Like I said, it's not even closer

Warner and Bosa wouldn't have helped the offense get absolutely owned by Seattle's D to the tune of 54-9 in the last two games we played them.

You guy are totally delusional if you think we can stack up head to head with Seattle even with a completely healthy roster.
we won week 1

We won week 1 IN Seattle.

And since then we lost two games to them and got absolutely destroyed to the tune of 54-9 and Seattle won the Super Bowl.

The point that seems lost on you is that the Niners beat Seattle (in Seattle) when the Niners were healthy.

Ah ok. So the last two games when they destroyed us don't count.

1-2 vs Seattle with a combined score of 67-26 and I'm not the bright one? Ya ok bud.

You're missing the point that we got destroyed the last two times we played them and Shanahan had no answers on offense.

What team is ever healthy? Yes, we have been hit hard but every team has injuries. I'm not using that as an excuse.

We lose a few players and everything goes to hell. We lose Bosa and we can't rush the passer. We lose Warner and our entire D falls apart. We lose Kittle and we can't run the ball. We lose Pearsall and we don't have any receivers who can get open.

You're also missing the point about how top heavy this roster is. Every team has injuries but the top teams don't fall apart when they lose some guys.

We have CMC. Purdy, Kittle, Trent Williams and Pearsall on offense and Warner and Bosa on D. If any one of those guys goes down we are done. We have top 5 players at their positions at RB, QB, TE, OT, LB and DE and nothing else after that. Zero depth and zero impact players under the age of 25.

That just goes to show how flawed this roster is.
Every team doesn't have the same injuries. Seattle had one key injury all season to Charles Cross. Everyone else that got hurt were bit players.

That's not true at all. They had plenty of starters miss time but they did avoide the massive list for the season injuries.

Games missed:

*Starter
*OT Cross 4
*OC- Sundell 4
*WR- Kupp 1
RB- Charbonet 1 plus playoffs
WR- Horton 9
TE- Arroyo 6
TE- Saubert 6

*S- Love 9
*CB- Witherspoon 4
*DE- Hall 3
*S- Emmanwori 3
*DT- Reed 4
*LB- Jones 2
*DE- Lawrence 1
*DE- Nwosu 1
*CB- Woolen 1
*CB- Jobe 1
*LB- Nwosu 1
*LB- Knight 1

Another guy that nobody should take seriously with ridiculous comments like lose a couple players.

So let me get this straight. Let's say Seattle had this happen:

Darnold misses 8 games
JSN misses 8 games
Their best DL (pick 1) goes out for the year in week 3
Their best lb goes out for the year in week 6
Their 1st round pick (zabel) goes out for year week 7

You believe Seattle would've still won the division/playoffs/sb/etc?

So in terms of starters games lost we had them beat with just Aiyuk, Bosa and Warner.

Exact same.

Probably. Because they have depth at every level.

But let's say if we were completely healthy and faced Seattle do you think they still outscore us by 50 points in two games? Do you think we win the SB?

Shanahan has no answer for Seattle and that D with Mike McDonald.

Well when the players we lost are our only star players and we have ZERO depth because Lynch can't draft or we have 90 mil in dead cap it hits hard.

You can't replace a Bosa, Kittle or Warner but your team also doesn't have to absolutely fall apart when you lose some starters. God help us if CMC misses time next year. We might not score more than 6 points a game.

Every team lost starters and Pro Bowl calibre players.

this reply ^^ hold my statement as true
OMG now you guys are making excuses for our losses to Seattle

Week 1 isn't real. The Raiders defetaed the Patriots in week 1 at Foxboro

Seattle has a way better roster than us because they draft BPA every time. They outscored us 54-9 the last 2 times we saw them.

Bosa and Warner didn't play those games?........well I guess that Bosa and Warner would had found some answers on offense

Are you guys really so weak that can't even accept the fact that Seattle is a clearly better team than us righ now?......holy f**k these fans are beyond lame and childish.

"But but but next year when we are healthy we'll beat them".......well guess what: we won't be healthy next year.

These weak fans make this forum really disgusting some times. It's like talking about politics with a bunch of 6 year olds.
