I'm hopeful for Purdy, but I'm skeptical that picks like Pearsall and M. Williams will get us there. We're losing ground against our rivals.

It looks so much worse when you contrast it to what the Rams did the last few years. All the cope we heard about from Niner fans was that the Rams mortgaged their future to win a SB, but in 2 back-to-back drafts, the Rams have kicked open a brand new window with a young core of stars for the next decade. 2 f**king drafts netted them Puka Nacua, Kobie Turner, Byron Young,Jared Verse and s**t ton of high-quality roster players.

They'll have to figure out what to do when Stafford hangs up the cleats, but they are positioned very well based on recent results. And that's not even considering the two first-round picks they have in the next draft and the successful trades they've made.

If I were a FA choosing between LA and SF, it would be a no brainer.

1- lance trade

2- buckner trade

3- disregarding ol (the 2 times they picked them in rounds 1-2 were good, dont know why they didnt follow on that)

4- lousy value on 1st and 2nd rounders. thomas, foster, kinlaw, lance, jackson. from last 2 years jury is still out but green, pearsall, williams or colling dont look like world beaters exactly

5- superbowls playcalling and strategy

bonus: - DB depth and

top 5 moves by shanahan lynch

1- finding added value in later picks. kittle purdy warner lenoir greenlaw mckivitz, hufanga, jennings, dj jones

2- signing saleh, ryans and schneider as coordinators

3- kyle offensive playcalling (except those in #5 above)

4- trading for mccaffrey

5- salary cap, they did a pretty good job of managing these before the aiyuk singing

From your 'worst 5' you left out a very important one: Continuously rolling out very subpar Special Teams (prior to this year).

ST is such a crucial phase of today's parity-laden NFL. This year's improved ST has very much helped this team to its 12-5 record. IMO, it was a huge reason why the Niners lost the last SB (in particular, the giveaway on the punt return in the 3rd - Luter - to open the door for KC).

Amen. I'd like to add taking the ball 1st in OT during the SB to that top 5 bad list

Would put Moody somewhere on this list as well.

Rams will trade for the best available QB, like Burrow or Lamar etc, because they actually have the balls to do it. While we go for bargain late draft pick trades like Huff, CMC, Sanders, omenihu, etc

What's funny, or sad, is that when they did finally nut up went all in, it was on an unknown player in Lance.

I mean he has no 1 to blame but himself. That 7th rd pick of Purdy is what is keeping him as Gm, But time is Running out. That Trey Lance debacle and wasting 3rd rounders after 3rd rounders on Rb's and a Kicker a Kicker . The Seat is Hot i will say. Jed must not be Happy at all
Tough loss. especially after all of the injuries they had to endure this year. Too bad they missed the playoffs and their season is over..........Oh, wait. I swear, this forum has the worst fans.

Pay no mind this nonsense.

The truth is that people are not elite at their own jobs but expect every other man to be elite at thiers.

A tale as old as the stoics.

It might be time to find a new GM. Move Lynch to a different position. Give him a "promotion" and bring in someone more competent at drafting and trading. It's time. Too many drafts have been wasted. And his few good trades haven't made up for it.

sounds about right

ShanaLynch still living off of those first drafts.

Without those players, this would be an expansion team roster.

Apologists will call us "haters" for pointing this out.

Wow good for you kid. You managed to strimg together more than a few words. Impressive champ. Keep celebrating last nights loss

Before I pulled the plug on Lynch, I would want to see how Collins, West, and Mykel Williams turn out. Williams was already a force before he was injured. West and Collins lost a lot of development time due to injury, but both of them flashed their power and potential more as the season progressed. Stout is looking like a steal. That is four potential starters for the future.
