Can't trade a free agent. Why would the 9ers want a backup coming off an Achilles anyway?

I was confused by this as well. Jones was great for what they like to do. I'm guessing they resign him for cheap and sign some vet.

this trade would make no sense for either side imo

DE class is strong enough to not use a high pick and still get a contributor. Bosa Williams Huff and White is a good starting foundation.

Nah it's gonna be EDGE or WR early. Folks gotta realize what they prioritize. They aren't gonna take a safety early, it's not a high impact position and can be taken care of relatively cheaply in FA or with an early day 3 pick.

they need a legit pass rusher. We all see what happens when Bosa goes down. We need another playmaker on offense, especially if JJ is gone.
I know it sounds dumb, but I wouldn't hate signing Breece Hall. Him and Brock played ball together and while not exactly CMC, he's got a lot of the same characteristics.

we see what this offense does with a RB like that. Love to have both guys and shred on the ground (both are great pass catchers) Obviously $$ will matter.

I have no clue what James is, dude can't sniff the field and where the hell is Guerendo?

ramsey, adams, minkah, derwin james and hamilton all beg to differ

i still would draft OL and WR with the first 3 picks. defense should be good with all the guys coming back next season, but we need to keep purdy upright and give him time to throw

regarding draft, i would trade mac jones for a 2nd round pick and get LT, LG and WR (whichever bpa is out of those 3 positions) with the first 3 picks, the 1st and the 2 2nds

I just don't see anyone giving up a 2nd for Mac. I would take that in a heartbeat.
I don't either, but if Aaron Rodgers retires, Pittsburgh will be in need of a starting quarterback. I think they have 12 picks going into next year's draft so they have the capital to do it.

We all also see what happens when the team continues to not address the secondary. They struggle mightily in coverage.

3rd and 16 happens in the SB because you have an udfa starting at corner.

Dolphins are also a team to look at, especially if McDaniel is retained.

You can have the best secondary in the league but if they have to cover for 10 seconds they get exposed.

I agree with tonges and moore

disagree with jennings, i like him but i think he can be signed for much less than that

robinson is a keeper, been solid and stable all season long, better than mason imo

i dont like burford, and 2 of our first 3 picks should go to OL so that we start prioritizing it and give brock more time

Can get a guard in the 3rd. Have to prioritize safety. It's the most abysmal position on the team.

We aren't spending a top pick on the Oline when we have a top 10 offense. It's our D that needs an overhaul. Our Oline has been great and has given Brock plenty of time.

If we go offense early it will be for a WR IMO.

Needs:

1- WR (Draft round 1-3)
2- DT (Free agency and draft round 3-4)
3- DE (Draft round 1-2)
4- CB (Draft round 2-3)
5- FS (Draft round 3-4)

Ummm we have a top tier LT close to retiring.

I would say that deserves a top pick.

Unless we cut Trent he isn't going anywhere.

So you want us to spend a high pick on a tackle to sit on the bench when we have so many other needs? Not happening.

Minkah and Ramsey have been traded multiple times. James injured all the damn time. Adams blows ever since he got traded.

acting like this team is a good safety away from being a awesome D is ridiculous. It always starts up front and when you lose a horse like Bosa the whole D suffers WAY more than if they lost a S.

the positions aren't even remotely close to the same impact wise….draft stock and money spent proves it.

This draft overall isn't stocked with premium OTs in the early rds and that's where those picks should go. Our OL is more than fine right now.

Emmanuel Moseley? We acting like he's a bad CB just because of being an UDFA? 3rd and 16 happens because Mahomes can drop back 20+ yards from the LOS and toss a 50+ yard bomb with DL in his face.

Also I never said anything about CB, I was talking about S. It's not a super impactful position worth spending a high end pick one…else the talent level is just head and shoulder above whomever else they can take there.

Bingo, I don't care who is in the secondary you can't cover all game with zero pressure on the QB.

the fact they were traded doesnt mean anything. parsons got traded as well, and he was the 2nd best defender in the league before the injury

minkah ramsey hamilton and james have had stellar careers and made huge impact. and all of them were drafted in the 1st round

the dl with bosa, mykel, collins and huff/white should be good enough next year.

You can never have too many pass rushers.

It should not be lost on anyone that the team with the fewest sacks is next to last in interceptions. (49ers)

Guys like Parsons very rarely if ever get moved. Safeties get moved much more, that's just the reality of the position and what matters more in regards to roster building. Look at the money and draft picks spent there as a whole. Not close.

Bro we got two DL coming off ACLs. One that's basically gonna be starting all over as a rookie learning to rush from the outside. Huff hasn't had a sack since Oct and has no GTD money left. White isn't a true outside rusher either.

this team and how the defense runs isn't based around being "good enough" on the DL.

Safety overall is one of the least impactful positions on defense. Just is. Acting like that's the real issue with the D is simply not true. Go look at who's getting paid at S….overwhelmingly it's not 1st rd pick safeties. Theres constantly good S available in FA as well. The same with IOL. Why? Because teams consider those positions replaceable.
