I was pretty surprised he was released. He was one of the bright spots from the Sorensen era.

Yeah, that was an absolute dumb decision.

Lynch and Co haven't made that many good decisions

Like taking Nick Martin in the 3rd when most people said he was a 5th/6th rounder and he can't even see the field. Curtis Robinson and Luke Gifford are ahead of him.

How many blown picks are these guys going to be allowed to get away with?

Can we get Martin Mayhew back?

I love these posts. Lynch's track record holds up very well to every GM in the league. He's missed on some top picks but he's found pro bowlers consistently in the mid to late rounds that no other GM has done. The depth on the team is a lot better then we think hence the 5-3 record. Name one team that can go 5-3 with their backup QB, top 2 WRs out and 2 ALL PRO defensive players out.

No offense to Martin Mayhew but his team took a step back this year.

If we kept Maliek (instead of Elliot) and Leonard Floyd, and if they were here healthy, I don't think we lose 3 games... even with Bosa / Warner out, they'd still have Huff, Williams, Floyd, Collins & Collins (THE FIRM), CJ West, Davis and of course HUNG Valdez and Anderson waiting in the blinds. Imagine they sign K White to the list anyways (hypothetically)

I think we're slightly above average with what we have now... White, Williams, Ferrell, HUNG, Collins, Davis, Elliot, CJ West and Valdez/Anderson on PS. One more legit edge rusher (like Thibs), one legit LB and a REAL ball hawking full safety to patrol All that and stay healthy, they can go on deep playoff run

You're right…..I remember when Patrick Mahomes was gonna be a 3rd rounder, 2nd at "best".

About 3 or 4 teams that would do that trade right now easily

We are at the top of the league in bust rate.

And not even factoring in the draft he has made some questionable personnel decisions starting with trading Buckner and replacing him with Kinlaw. That one is still a head scratcher.

As for the 5-3 record, you might want to look at the teams we beat. New Orleans, Arizona and ATL are 3 of those wins. Warner wasn't injured in the LA game and we were healthy for the 1st win vs Seattle.

We played awful vs Jacksonville and Houston destroyed us. Let's play some real teams before you crown us.
