He did hosted NFL Live and NFL post game for ESPN for like 20 years. How do you not know who he is?

Justin Fields has the same cap hit as Purdy for this and next year...with about 20-25 million in guaranteed money for next year.

Why would you *ever* do this ?

How is he getting paid that much? Maybe they'll agree to take on some of the money.

The bigger question is why would you even want him? He's trash. 2 franchises have already had enough of him and going on 3. And this is coming from me who wanted Fields over Lance.

I know this is probably a big NO -- and sorry if this has been discussed -- but can we squeeze Garrett Wilson into our budget? I have a feeling a fire sale may happen and that coach won't make it the entire season. Would he be that expensive? I think we all know he's very good, but does he have the stats to support a max level WR contract? I still think we need to add a receiver because I don't know if BA is actually coming back

Garrett Wilson is the most untouchable player there IMO. Would rather ask about Quinnen Williams.

Trey Wingo is probably more popular than Schefter and Ian Rap.

I am used to Schefter and Ian Rap posting breaking news before it hits anywhere else for the last 10 years because they're reliable and that's how I get the news the fastest.

Wingo doesn't do that nor has a history of doing that. He has a history of hosting an analysis show that I don't watch.

People have said the same about Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield and Daniel Jones, and they're all in the MVP conversation.

The offense needs a spark. I'm not sure if just getting Kittle and Pearsall back (assuming he does come back at some point) will be enough. This is arguably the worst the offense has ever performed under KS. This is the first time we haven't managed to score 30 points in any of the first 7 games in the KS era.

You must be really young. Trey Wingo has been one of the most popular voices on ESPN for the past 20 years. He's not some random person throwing out news for clicks. I think that's the main point here.

Justin Fields is not the answer. I think the entire world recognizes that.

Because that's what starting QBs get as a baseline, and a lot of his salary was put on the next year.

Don't let people who say "get this QB for 5million and have him a starter" fool you. Todays backup who makes 5-7 m per will make ~25-30m per at minimum if they were to be a starter. That's just the market of QBs in the NFL.

That's why QBs who are signed to be backups don't sign long-term contracts. They want short contracts where they may showcase their skill where the starter gets hurt....and then sign for a lot more $$$ as starter.
