This is the type of acquisition the 49ers are looking for. Anyone who thinks the team will make a big trade for a premier player hasn't been paying attention to the new direction the team is going in this last off-season. They've made enough of the big swings the last few years, they're done doing that.
They don't need to spend high picks and big money, they just need to make smart additions that can make the line better than it is right now.

But we already have a line full of scrubs minus Bosa and Huff that can't get to the QB. Why add more.

Agreed. Right now the 9ers have bench players that's starting on the D-line. They need an impact starter or at least the best available one.

I think we'll make multiple moves on the DL, but no big splash.
Enagbare and Key wouldn't shock me if they were both on our roster soon.
Would be an improvement, but not going to drastically shift the needle.

With Warner likely lost for the season I'm not sure there's much value in trading for a DL rental anymore.
Sometimes you can hope for the best but pragmatically shift focus to the future. This may be one of those times.

Now that Warner is done things change. Fringe players are fine and keep the higher picks.

Yeah at this point they might be smart to start doing the opposite. Trade anyone of value for picks and rebuild for the future. The Super Bowl window for this group seems closed with all of these injuries.

We have a few weeks to see how Martin steps up. I wasn't thrilled seeing Gifford out there and not giving Martin live reps.
You never know Martin might be incredible. But he needs to be suited up and play starting next week to see what we have before the trade deadline.

No, it's over, this team is not contending with all of these injuries. We need to keep the picks and let the younger players play.

how many millions is being paid that can't get an stay on the field.... I have never seen this percentage of "star" players hurt at teh same time...
