Would I be excited if we traded for him? Of course! It's always exciting making a splash trade for an All-Pro. But I just feel that edge is a much bigger need than DT (unless he makes our entire DL that much better).

Simmons' cost will probably be similar to Hendrickson.

Want Simmons in a big-time way for this team. Though he plays a lot inside (which the team also needs w/ all the injuries), can play DE, too, and can get to the QB from any place on the D-line. He's the kind of impact player this team needs on the DL with Bosa out. And, he's under contract through the 2027 season. Have liked him since his college days at Mississippi State.

Offer a 3 in 26 and 2 in 27 if ya have to. Think he's the best option for this team for this year and long term.

A 2nd is the minimum price for him IMHO. Kind of like Trey Hendrickson.

Yep he is a really good player. He is plug and play. I watch him every Sunday because the Titans play on my local tv. They have been discussing the possible trading of Simmons this week on the local sports talk radio. They are more talking about a trade with the Ravens and one other team I can't remember who. I would like the 49ers to get Simmons. They were more mentioning a second and possible third or fourth for him.

I have no clue why the Panthers would be looking to add him. But yeah as far as pass rushers go he and Hendrickson are the best "available" and I'd actually prefer Simmons to Hendrickson. Just doubtful we would make a move for a DT after our last draft.

Doubt we can keep hendrickson after this year. Hell be a 30m guy. Im ok with giving up 2/3 or 4. We don't need no stinkin vanity pick (except this last year when we may have hit the jackpot)
