The whole Stafford argument is so stupid also.
We could have had freaking Brady, he's literally from San Mateo and grew up a niner fan.
The guy wanted to come here and lynch and shanahan botched that too... On top of the lance trade and pick...
Shoulda dropped the QB who just had us in the Super Bowl for a QB who's 40+ and just had his worst season. Since that's intellectually honest what everyone woulda done. Totally everyone knew Brady would bounce back and Jimmy would fall off a cliff. Those hindsight arguments are amazing

lol we own the rams and didn't get stomped. the Rams have always been second to the 49ers
McVay taking over a loaded teams and still have to trade first round picks
Can't develop QBs and have to trade for one
Rams needed help and barely beat us this year lol
You act like Kyle developed QBS here. He totally blew it with the guy he was supposed to develop and got really lucky with Brock who started to regresses last season. Jimmy G was not as good, but he also started to regresses after a decent season or 2.
yeah yeah.. everything is just luck. that is a lame take
Jimmy G regressed on his own.
Every starting QB, Kyle had them playing their best ever.

Kinda crazy how no one is talking about the eagles offseason.
They have lost 4 starters on defense.
Josh Sweat
Milton Williams
Charles Gardner-Johnson
Darius Slay
They have replace them with: Nothing!!! They are the only team that hasn't signed anyone in free agency. They have cap space too. They are similar to us a little bit too as they have $55 million in dead money which is 3rd in the league. __PRESENT

I was just mentioning this, although Slay can be replaced by either of the two rookie corners, his playmaking ability will be missed (5ints) same with CGJ a LOT of ints. They are going to feel it on their D line as well.

Jones and Mahomes have no choice if the team restructures. The team decides to do it and kicks the can down the road. We've done it with Fred Warner and Kittle plenty of times.

They just won the SB and won another one not to long ago. I much rather be in their shoes than ours. If we won the SB I'd be like it's ok we need fresh talent now. But we are choke artists across the board.
The difference is those teams had elite QBs who can mask other issues. Purdy is not that player. Not here to say he's some mediocre player, but he already showed last year he can't carry that burden/overcome.
With that said I agree there's no need to panic 3 days into FA. Just chill and see what happens
I agree for the most part. I don't have much faith in Brock being able to elevate the team and I do think we are gonna make a WTF pick in the draft probably in the 3rd round. But hopefully we hit on some the picks and helps fill holes on the roster.

Or you can look at like this, Kyle took a turd and polished it up to where he looked good but then the leagued figured it out and exposed the turd for what he is. We seem to blame coaches a lot instead of the actual players for not improving on their own. Heck Jimmy G couldn't even hold down the Raiders starting gig. He even made Nick Mullins look average for a few games.
He botched Trey Lance no doubt about it. But lets not forget what he had done with Brock, Jimmy G, Mullins, Matt Ryan (had his best season), Kirk Cousins, RG3.

i don't see Oscar post much but i guess he doesn't follow the 49ers closely.

The thing i keep going to is its going to force them to play the rookies. Throw them in the fire and see what they can do. I'd rather do that then pay some 30 year old veteran who is on a 1 year deal to look average.
