LOL don't worry they will continue to blow it in the draft.

Starting to realize that I'll never witness a Super Bowl victory in my lifetime.

Hey I said that the evening of February 11th last year and everyone said I was being overdramatic! Welcome to the club!

Yeah, I'm with you guys. lol I love the team and want them to win one bad but over the last 15 years or so … I've lost passion and interest in not only the 49ers but nfl.

I used to watch every game I could, I loved the entire league. I never missed a niner game. All of the heart break since 2006 (when I really started focusing in on the team). I just don't care much anymore, at least not like I used to. I hope they win but if not, is what it is.

I don't want any other games besides Niner games anymore, I'll just look at scores. I stopped watching nfl games since week 9 this last year. That's the last game I saw, including playoffs and Super Bowl.

It's Niners or nothing for me. I get excited for the start of the season and following the team and then if it goes well - I'm all in. If it's like this last year - then I have better s**t to do with my time.

Go have a margarita. Maybe take a break from the phone for a few months, and watch the games sure but don't spend all week researching the team.

I did it after the Super Bowl loss and my life got so much better! I got over last season really quickly as a result!

I just don't understand what some of these guys expected. If you kept up with the team and our cap, since last year, it's been reported that we will lose a good amount of starters. I wish I could find my post(s) from last off season where I said we will be losing 6-7 starters.

I included AA, Deebo, Juice (possible cut), Banks, Lenoir or Ward (we kept Lenoir) Huf or Greenlaw (sadly we lost both) Mitchell. Anyone who even somewhat followed this team could see this coming. We had to shed some salaries so we keep being a competitive team longer.
The goal is to get younger. Aside from Greenlaw I don't know who of the offseason losses I will miss.

Correct.

None of this is surprising.

And to be honest these guys couldn't get the super bowl done so why hope and wish they will next time?

Get younger and cheaper - not a rebuild but a reboot for sure.

Philly has a young, cheap defense and did great. Likely that is the vision here.
This is the first time in some years I'm feeling not great about the season.

So do the Rams. They completely rebuilt their defense in 2 drafts and didn't even have a Bosa/Warner/Lenoir type trio of studs across each level of the defense.

Ding ding!!! Exactly!
Greenlaw is the only player move i question. I wouldnt pay Banks, Ward, Hufanga, or Moore what they got. But the contact for Dre seems reasonable.

Really? last offseason was an omen that the year would be terrible with the CMC news, The Trent and BA contracts, Greenlaw injured - I knew last year was going to be a s**t show.

This! We also will never know how Dre will come back from his injury. We will be fine but this years draft is super important, we need solid starters out of if and added depth. The 4 picks in top 100 need to be all hits!
Lenoir was the only player that was a must resign going into this free agency, and they got it done early.
Losing all these players and they still can't even get a deal done with Purdy
Figured most of these guys would be gone, still jarring to see the mass exodus though. Guys got paid. Guess that's good for comp picks

I am truly curious what the hold up is.

Every day they wait they cost themselves more money.

Darnold is now a benchmark.
