Samuel for sure. Love DJ but Samuel's got youth on his side. But either would be a huge get.

What animosity? I would think he understood we didn't want him gone but made the mistake of trying to stash him on IR. Seattle unfortunately came in and picked him up when he was injured.
Kyle and John said they never should've waived him trying to stash him on IR.

I'm not a fan of paying big money to a CB this offseason.
Lenoir has RCB on lock. Green looked pretty good as a rookie filling in all those games for Ward, I think the Niners want him there long term. So why pay big bucks for a slot CB, or make Green play the slot where he might not be as comfortable.
If we're gonna sign a CB, get a legit slot CB, which aren't that expensive.

If he does have any animosity, he may over look it to play for Saleh again where he played well.

This.
and guess who is going to be FA next month?
Mike Hilton (Bengals), the best nickelCB in the last decade. He's 30 but still has it, he was the best PFF graded run defender btwin all theCBs.
And his last contract amounted to 24M for 4 years so it will be very possible to sign him for 5-6M/year.
IMO it makes no sense to pay big money for another outside CB when we have 2 legit ones. Sign Mike Hilton and the niners will have one of the best CB trio in the league.

I like either of these ideas: 1) Mike Hilton is a great idea, 2) Samuel would be great, though a touch pricey when really the lines (and possibly one S position) need to be addressed

No kidding. The news traffic is always this way leading up to FA and draft time. I do think Lynch will likely make an interesting move or two in addition to the general draft activities. His draft trade for Trent Williams was a very good move/deal.

Also, I know Lynch has to wait until after June 1 to do anything about Deebo. But a smart trade which returns anything the niners need (O or D lineman, LB, S, etc.) would be a great move.
